  1. conn-e-rot....your sig is kinda funny.... the use of "then" instead of "than" means you would rather be judged by 12 and then afterwards carried by 6.... seems like a waste of time and tax dollars to me, might as well just go for the 6 and not delay the inevitable
  2. ^ true..... nice thing about my girl is that she absolutely hates bikes....so when im ready to buy one, she isnt going to care what kind it is since she will never ride on it
  3. not like you will be taking her on rides from the kitchen to the laundry room, so why does it matter??
  4. if its "close" usually its done for...especially a bike get check - buy 1098 - profit
  5. ummm millions of dollars to lower the road way? fucking clowns....that job would be cheap as hell....scalp out the asphalt and base, and dig out the ground a little bit for about 100yds then repave they just dont wanna lose that $4000/yr theyre getting from fines from idjits hitting it
  6. something like this would do what youre describing.....big enough to plow your driveway and big enough plus 4wd to get around in the brush to pull the brush hog through....not sure what they run or how much the plow kits and mower decks cost though that one i posted in a 23hp diesel and was for sale for 2700....its an 07...no longer for sale just an example...figure maybe another 1k-1500 for a mower deck (maybe?) might be able to find a used tractor with pull behind and plow for around 3-4k....you want something with at least 20hp that can use a pull behind to be able to get a brush hog into the trails wanting so many features out of one machine is what drives the price up....really, the expensive part is getting something that can either clear land by itself, or pull a brush hog...thats why you need the bigger tractor...if you only were worried about the yard you can get a nice zero turn or riding mower for a thousand bucks might be better to go that route and then just rent equipment to clear the trails once a year or whatever also, pull behind mowers dont get into a lot of areas, so you have to go by with a push mower to get them.....problem is finding a tractor with a belly mower that is big enough to still groom the trails with a brush hog...some people use a belly mower and a pull behind at the same time....its all about $ lol
  7. sounds like you need a decent size tractor with a plow and a mowing deck....you can always rent a brush hog deck or borrow one when it comes time to groom the trails...but if youre making trails, you will need something more heavy duty to tear up the small trees and whatever else will be in your way
  8. V-engines are fun and torquey, but my next bike will be an I4...sucks redlining at 9k
  9. for building the track and stuff, youre going to want a skid loader for sure....my dad tried building a track and clearing land with his tractor and it was a pain, he ended up bringing home a bobcat from work tractor would be nice to have also because you can pull a brush hog behind it to eat up all the little crap.... to do what youre talking about, sounds like you want a tractor with a mowing deck and a brush hog deck and then when you build the track youre going to want to buy or rent a bobcat...bobcat rental is right around 200 a day and 700 a week give or take last time i checked....so you might be able to get away with renting one once you clear out the brush and weeds and stuff to build the actual track...even if you use it for a month (dont know monthly price, but probably around 1200 or so) its cheaper than buying one....a decent small front end loader is upwards of 8k unless you find a good deal or buy a beat up old gas one
  10. when i end up shooting off these gold dots and decide to get fresh SD ammo, ill be ordering these http://www.doubletapammo.com/php/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_26&products_id=389

  14. rear brakes are usually a hot topic in the Firearms section....i see why you would get confused, my bad
  15. shoulda got an HK... one was stolen and recovered after spending 3 months in a river and it didnt have any rust the HE was wearing off, but no rust lets see your XD do that
  16. just have to clean and oil it more often...every weekend if need be i suppose my 870 was like that, had to keep it oiled or it would rust overnight
  17. http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/printable/node/7866 doesnt say anything too radical, but i was very surprised to see how similar all the calibers did
  18. nope - 272 now ...voted on my phone thanks for the votes! the other kid was getting a few votes for a little bit, but i doubt he will come close to almost 300 lol she had 102 votes when i started this thread
  19. Thanks guys! Appreciate the help...I think she's got it lol
  20. i agree...step up to the 1k and be done with it and people on sumos are nuts....i was amazed first time i rode with rawlins in hocking, never realized how great those bikes were for cornering
  21. gotcha! didnt think of stability being the issue, just thought you wanted to corner low lol whatever route you take, with how many miles you ride, it would be best to do it right the first time....the ohlins might be $400 more, but if you plan to ride another 30k miles on that bike or whatever, then it might be better in the long run ive taken shortcuts with suspension work before and not been pleased with it and ended up redoing it anyways...then youre out more than if you had just done it how you wanted it to begin with
