  1. also concidering these http://www.meprolight.com/default.asp?catid={82B0BAC7-924D-4594-895C-CA38A4FE77C3}&details_type=1&itemid={DB4F7EA7-49BA-4EAB-876A-80552CCD13E7} im reading on HKpro that people like them better than trijicons but they look so chincey
  2. if it was a different gun i wouldnt be so worried....just heard so many horror stories about HK sight installs
  3. thanks for the recomendation, but i want someone local...if i decide to send them out to get done, ill just have APW install the sights while my gun is there for HC plating....but they want about $70 for the install, which seems a bit high to me
  4. so you think i will be ok ordering from trijicon? all heine sights for HKs need trimmed like the first pic i posted...except, that gunsmith butchered them at least thats what im hearing on HKpro...most people there use heines but i think theyre ugly and want no part of them....but most people end up sending them to heine to get them installed because they dont fit properly.... not just a couple people, tons of people.... check out post #9 http://www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-handgun-talk/132183-heinie-sights-update-p30-hk45-hk45c.html
  5. searched and only found two threads but they were for rifle repairs and fixing a pistol... im ordering a set of Trijicon Bright and Tough Night Sites .... I need to find a gunsmith that can install them HKs are notorious for aftermarket sights not fitting properly, and the sites need to be "trimmed" to fit...thats the case with heines, not sure about trijicons... i need a really good shop, a recent post on an HK website im on has me kinda worried.... a guy on there took his in to a local gunsmith to get sights installed and it turned out like this instead of this these sights are too expensive to let some hack ruin them.....anybody know of a capable place to get this done? preferably in columbus or within 30 minutes of here
  6. 70mph all the way to tennessee with the OD off? your car must have hated you. the extra wear on the engine and oil alone wouldnt be worth it to me....if i thought i had to go to that extreme to pull the trailer, i would have rented a truck
  7. ever seen a i6 f150 hauling 20k lbs lol its quite the adventure.... backroads only, as i think the freeway trip would have blown a ujoint or something....the dually transmission went out so the little truck had to do some work! (200k miles and going strong still too..besides a leaky head gasket, but it was like that when he bought it....we hauled a 9k lb trailer almost daily for a year, which is about 2x the weight limit) the little ford that could.
  8. very nice!! expensive to shoot though! .45 aint cheap and that thing chews it right up
  9. you will be fine. ive loaded vehicles up 3-5x over their weight limit and been fine, youre barely past HALF of the weight limit....dont even worry about it
  10. i think he was saying that in this economy, a lot people dont have the funds laying around to drop on expensive luxuries.....i dont think he was saying your bike is a toilet, just that if someone is toilet shopping for their house, they are more likely to pick up a $300 toilet than a $13k granite bidet ....theres always a buyer out there, just might take a bit longer ....harder to sell a ferrari than a civic its a gorgeous bike, goodluck with the sale! if i had the funds i would pick it up in a heartbeat
  11. yamaha is the only one of the big 4 i would buy....suzuki would possibly be second option

  14. damn this trials been going on for 3 years and i just heard about it a couple days ago
  15. not sure....when i was with my last company, they sent you to their adjuster and he looked it over and made the estimate himself, then they ask what shop you want it worked on at and they cut a check for that shop right there on the spot....if the shop ends up wanting more to do the work than insurance though, they will send the shop additional funds...they even covered the tow truck if you had to have your vehicle towed to their adjuster havent filed a claim with progressive yet so idk how they do it
  16. ill watch this and dvr two and a half men....i dont see it possibly being good anymore after they kill off charlie....the only way i can see it working is alan waking up and turning on the tv and seeing the wreck on the news....theres no way he would go back to the studio and shoot a farewell episode lol maybe take some creative editing for the funeral from that episode where he envisioned his own funeral
  17. the video looks real to me....when it passed over her apt she said the sky was completely black
  18. http://www.tmz.com/2011/07/05/charlie-sheen-comedy-central-roast-roastee-september/ should be great lol
