  1. Literally, the worst. And typically poor service too.

I had a woman be referred to me by a real estate agent to get pre approved. She however was insistent on working with her "local bank". I asked the name of her LO, she didn’t know. She dropped her paperwork off with a teller.

Call her 2 days later to follow up, still no pre-approval.

2 days later, she said she will call the bank.

She came to me today, saying she called, and they had not even looked at her docs yet. :lolguy:

She left with her pre-approval in hand.

I couldn't even get Chase to give me a preapproval on the last house I had and I was an employee of theirs. Went down to the credit union I bank at and was in and out with a preapproval in 20 minutes. Chase is pond scum, all of them.

  2. the guy at music go round was showing me one of those on wed. Although I think it was used and didn't have the software with it.

Whats the difference between something like that and something like this:

    https://www.amazon.com/Line-Sonic-Port-Channel-Interface/dp/B00CS4L7DK/ref=sr_1_16?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1479504112&sr=1-16&keywords=line-6

I'm not sure what the big difference is, but immediately it looks like the one I linked has more inputs/outputs. The big reason I stopped using mine is because I wasn't able to get the latency down low enough. (I'd play a note and hear it come back out in 10-20ms) I'm not sure if that was due to the hardware (PC) i was running or the device itself. At the time I was using a Q6600 and it would eat every core processing the effects while recording so that could have been part of the problem.

Now that I think about it, I was also using this RIGHT as Windows 7 came out and it was a nightmare to get working correctly so that could have also been part of the issue.

  3. Does anybody here record their own music? How do you do it? equipment? software?

I want to record some guitar pieces I am working on and really other than getting an old tape machine and plugging it into my amp, not sure how to get it into the computer box and then edit it.

    Check one of these out;

I've got one and it works pretty well. I haven't used it in a year or so, you can run it without an amp also (it comes with amp/effects modeling software)

  4. They have their 3 ton steel floor jack for $67.88, and 1.5 ton aluminum for $54.99. Tempting. Anyone have good/bad things to say about either?

I have had the 1.5t aluminum racing jack since probably 2012 and its my,primary jack. Never had problems with it.

do you have a link for this? all I can find is where it is $329.

Its not on their site but their paper black Friday ad, posting a pic..

  5. I was at iron pony today. They had an all black 2014 cb1100 with 450 miles on it for $8999. I would buy that all day long rather than the pig irons you mentioned. It's a real motorcycle that you can use to do anything with. Finance it if you have to.

Vrod was novel when it came out but compared to the VR1000 racer that spawned it, the bike was a disappointment. They ride ok, are cramped for taller riders, and are just a disappointment. Honestly I would rather have a sportster than one, because at least they are light and make the right noises.

everytime I hear about an M109r the think about helping out a stranger who broke down on the side of the Long Island expressway when the gearbox ate itself. They are massive and torquey but I would rather have a Kawasaki mean streak because lighter and more fun to ride.

I'd like to add my thoughts on the Mean Streak. I own a 2002 Kawasaki Mean Streak (1500cc in this year)

Great bike for solo cruising, not so much for 2 up unless you're short peoples. Bought mine last year with 13k miles on it from my father and I've put 8,000 miles on it.

The stock seat could use some reworking and the drag bars tend to cause my shoulders/upper back to become uncomfortable after about 3 hours. Again, this is subjective since I have back problems but a small pair of risers and a reworked/upgraded seat could do wonders on this bike.

Upgrades/more ponies? Not a whole lot out there unless you're willing to fab and develop yourself. Thunder MFG has bore kits for the 1500/1600 vulcans (mean streak included) up to 100". With a bore kit and modifying the intake people are seeing ~115whp, if you're looking to turn it into a ~100hp+ the mean streak probably isn't the bike, people have also done turbo kits but none were ever mass produced.

Picture for reference, the blue bike is an 09 vulcan 900 and the gold one is my 02 mean streak

  6. I just use a keurig, if I buy cups i get the Donut Shop flavor by keurig or I end up using the reusable k-cup I have with whatever black coffee I have at the time.

I've never had any plastic taste with k-cups out of my keurig but I do run a mix of vinegar and water through it every few weeks to clean it out

  7. Going through something similar here. Except I don't have a fence on my yard, the neighbor behind me put his fence up and it's 1ft 11" on my side of the yard (well past the lot pins)

HOA doesn't want to do anything about it and the neighbor is a royal dick (he's also a state highway patrolman) so at the end of the month I'm taking down all 1ft 11" of the backside of his vinyl fence

  8. +1. Love mine.

Another +1 on the vizio. I was a cheap ass and bought it without the sub because it was on sale at walmart for $98. It does however have the port for the sub (you can buy them both separately).

My living room has cathedral ceilings and even without the sub it sounds pretty damn good for the money (the virtual surround sound works pretty well too)

  9. From what I've gathered, there were a significant amount of mustangs wrecking doing while burnouts and etc. leaving Mustang Week, wherever the hell it was this year.

It's in Myrtle Beach and it hasn't occurred yet, unless they all hit 88mph while exiting last year and traveled to July.

  10. Pretty sure I bought the same TV as jeffro and KillJoy last year. I was originally looking at 4k but there isn't a wealth of media available in 4k yet so rather than pay twice the price for 4k i went 1080p 240hz. I bought mine at walmart during christmas eve for $698ish (it has netflix and all that crap built into it too)

I was a bit weary about as I've never owned a vizio but I have no complaints out of mine. The picture is amazing, out of the dozen or so TVs i looked at in the price range this one was probably the best. The built in speakers have been fine for me, although a little tinny.

All in all, I'll probably wait until I have to buy a new TV before I go the 4k route, and hopefully by then cable, netflix, etc are all on the 4k page.

  11. How do you determine which of these "online" colleges are valuable on paper vs the ones that aren't (like all the ones on late nigh infomercials i.e. everest)

I've been looking at Western Governors University because they're all online and relatively close in tuition to the community college here in SC. I'm in the same boat as most people here, can't make any money moving laterally but can't really move up until I have a piece of paper saying that i learned a bunch of useless crap.

  12. What kind of tunnel are you using? Do you have access to its logs? Also do you have the public IPs for both of those end points? If so you can start narrowing it down easier, I would start running tests between that time frame you provided to see if you're potentially looking at an issue with a specific ISP or hop in that path.

What are your VLANs managed with right now? It's hard to say here is how you create a VLAN and a bridge without knowing where they're being created (cisco/other hardware device, linux based router, etc?) Setting up a VLAN in IOS is typically very different from most other hardware devices and even more different than creating them on a linux router.

I know there are a bunch in here involved in IT so i'm looking for advice. I'm mostly self taught in networking and I know enough to be dangerous at my job. I can ping, know what ARP is, etc. I have ZERO certifications nor desire for any of that. With that said, I'm looking into learning about VLANs as we have a couple customers running them and I believe they are causing issues with our systems.

For the inevitable "What is your system" question:

    http://www2.emersonprocess.com/en-us/brands/csitechnologies/cppm/csi6500/pages/csi6500machineryhealthmonitor.aspx

I basically give it a static IP per "rack", the server has a static IP and they all communicate. You access the server to do pretty much anything and the server sends commands to the racks. This entire setup is on it's own VLAN and they use a tunnel to allow people onsite on a different VLAN to access the system. The problem is, the system seems to stop responding from their other VLAN sporadically but locally the system is alive and 100% operational. This tells me that the tunnel from one VLAN to the other isn't working right but they insist "it's fine". Furthermore, this happens most from ~7am till about ~5pm which says their network traffic from people being in the office is cluttering it up or something.

What I want to do is use one of our systems and set up a VLAN similar to theirs at my house so I can mimic what they are doing. What I need are some good guides or tutorials I can read on VLANs and how to tunnel traffic between them to specific IPs.

  13. Getting mine ready for the season now. Just bought an 02 kawasaki 1500 that had honda vtx 1300 shocks on it (lowered it about 1.5-2") ended up dragging it and ripping the kickstand spring off, waiting on shock bushings to put the factory shocks back on it.

  14. Hey guys, dealing with some charging issues on my 06' mustang GT. It has been throwing codes for years about having a bad voltage regulator/diodes in the alternator.

I haven't had any problems with it up until recently when I've been leaving it parked for month at a time. I put a new battery in it in September after the old one stopped holding a charge (battery was the OEM battery from 06). Car ran fine and battery seemed ok then I left it parked again for a few months.

I've found a rebuild kit on the internets for $55 that comes with all the bearings and voltage regulator. I don't know much about alternators but I'm assuming the diodes are in the regulator and not separate right?

  15. I bought two of there kallax book shelf deals and two matching table tops to build my computer desk, haven't had any problems with them, the instructions were pretty much non existent though.
