Wow - nice route John. This looks like a great ride. I like the idea of eating afterwards and keeping the riding pace going from start to finish. Gas full at start, gas up again in McConnelsville at 104 miles, then ride to the finish at Nutcrackers which is 115 miles later. You're a genius.

I have a set of Pilot Road 2's with that line. I called Michelin tech support and asked that same question. It is a carbon-fiber ribbon inset installed to dissipate static. When the Bridgestone reps were out last year for breakfast, they verified that "line" was the anti-static carbon inset as well. So, there ya go.

The best mod I could have ever done to that bike was replacing the crap stock seat and buying a Sargent seat - it is extremely well made and their customer service is outstanding. The flush LEDS up front are Protons from Highttechspeed.com. They also function as running lights. I converted the standard running lights in the headlight assy to turn signals. It's a very cool set up. Thanks for the comments.

I love that 750 fork/brake conversion. Bike looks really nice......leave the price alone - with those mods and miles it's worth it.

My band played tonight from 5 to 7 - it was 95 and 100% humidity......but, it was a good time.

My Bandit is faster than this Duc.........so it aint the bike holding back.......it's me. I just want one - thats all. I'll still be behind you.

60's and 70's rock. We usually play 1 or 2 times a year - mostly charity events. We all played near full time back 20 years ago, but now just do it for fun. WAY TOO MUCH WORK for the little cash you make...........like $0 on this one. But it's a fun time. It's kinda.........musical therapy.

My band, The Staplers, will be playing this Festival Friday night 5 to 6:30. I've not been to this event before - I hear it's kinda big.

We could do the following for gas and food..... At 90 Miles - McConnellsville at 60 & 78 for Gas At 190 Miles - Woodsfield at 78 & 800 for Gas and Quick food at a Subway or McD's. It will be about 12:30PM if we leave at 9AM and no one crashes. At 285 Miles - Frazeysburg at 60 & 16 for Gas and goodbyes. Ride ends back near Columbus where we all split up at about 330 miles. FYI - Toro Loco (a really good Mexican place) is located about 5 blocks south on 93 in Ironton right on our route. They take cash (no Pesos ironically), Visa, MC, and Discover - no AMEX. Yes.....just a shameless BUMP (actually a BUJT - Bring Up John's Thread) to keep this in everyone's mind. But, I met the guys teaching this course over the weekend at a rally in West Virginia. This is going to be an outstanding "ALL DAY" event. You will learn more about your good and bad riding habits and address your fears if you are willing to risk and learn. These guys are talented hi-end racers and teachers and really "get it". Best of all, they are great communicators and want to see you succeed and become the rider you need to be. And, you're doing this on their bike with no risk of damaging your own bike - gotta love that!!! This is going to be a great weekend. See you there. Phil

Great ride today. Good to see Brian again and his bike looks freakin' awesome!!! We rode about 90 miles or so out to London, down to Circleville, then back. Good to see everyone. Christy and Lisa were there too, but were on the "taking the photo" side.....

I "believe" his name is Stewart. He sat next to us at lunch. He rode the crap out of that bike. So, between Stewart on the scooter, and Kent & JPorter on the old Honda 500's, I may just blow up the Bandit and buy a Harley!!!! Nice riding guys!!

This will be cool. It'll be tight on time, but if I can make it for the 1PM launch at Kroger West Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide, then I'm in!
