  1. has passed on. Glen Bell the founder of Taco Bell passed away today. RIP Taco Hell man. http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=news/national_world&id=7226161
  2. I do miss my ol' CBR sometimes. Honda makes great stuff.
  3. Sell it and buy one of these two. They're like a sporty couch without being ghey looking like those 'busas. But seriously, those convertibars are very nice if you do end up trying them. I was thinking about it and the other problem I had was the lack of length on the throttle, brake, clutch wires. Lifting the clip-ons that high definitely stretched the lines out when at full-lock.
  4. I like my brownie points.
  5. Doh! I was about to say I'd have a set to sell you for less than that price but the 636 uses 50mm OD forks and the Ape uses 53mm OD forks. They were on the Aprilia when I bought it. These things pretty much have unlimited adjustability and they are very nice, sturdy pieces of hardware. I never knew how much those damn things were! They've been sitting in a box since I switched back to stock clip-ons. They were very good at staying in place too, never had an issue with them moving or anything. My only problem was that they were untested on an Aprilia and the previous owner just "made them work" so they came very close to touching the tank/upper fairing. But that's my model specific issue only. If you want to fit the bill, they are definitely a quality piece.
  6. I've got a set of tiny ass gloves that might fit your hands well. /threadjack
  7. My suggestions for 1000cc supersport twins. These bikes are all pretty aggressive but if you stay controlled on them they offer a great rewarding ride for a great price. All of them can be found for $5500 or less if you look around. Aprilia RSV Honda RC51 Suzuki TL-R Ducati 996
  8. Well think of how low the busa is, if you even think of putting your knee out you'll instantly lose 25* of lean. lol
  9. That thread is awesome!!! This pic makes Don proud.
  10. ICON = Fail. I like their Accelerant jacket, but anything else they make is usually hardcore poser. Their helmets are goofy as shit.
  11. One of the local PDs in Dayton supposedly has a confiscated CBR1000RR with hidden lights and black paint. Sons a' bitches...
  12. TZ-R does not include rear vents and as such it does get a little warmer on the hot days around here. I've got a TZ-R and I love it but I will upgrade to an RF-1000 if I get a chance just for the vents. There's also some styling changes between the two for better aero. My one beef with the Shoeis is anytime it's cold or rainy it ALWAYS fogs up and you have to put it on the vent setting. But from what I hear, they all do it no matter what.
  13. The Qualifiers are being replaced with the Q2. It's the next evolution of the Qualifier. Everything I've read about them so far has been good. I want a set. I got my original Qualifiers to last 6000 miles on the Ape. I expect the Q2s to last me the whole summer depending on how I use them. Dunlop is claiming more predictability in the wet. ( the standard qualifiers felt fine in the rain). And they are saying the new Q2s are outperforming the Qualifier by 2 seconds a lap. That's big if it's true.
  14. I find myself doing the same with the Aprilia. I do all of my own maintenance and since dealers are non-existant I've learned to just do all my own work and order my parts from AF1 Racing in Texas.
  15. My bad, they are. I was thinking of the X-elevens. I've been looking at those.
  16. Scratched = bad news usually. Pass. Many RF1000s are on closeout now for $380 and lower. TZ-Rs are $250 and lower. Just look for the deals.
