Very good. Who said they weren't? You want to keep saying "Well Bush did...". So As per Casper's article: Obama and Clinton didn't benefit from the sale of any of their books. If Obama was smart, he would come out and say "I had no idea this was happening. We don't have the money for this and it's wrong for me to gain financially from the spending of your tax dollars. I am therefore ceasing the buying of my books with your money and donating 100% of the profits to _______" I won't hold my breath. So the ends justify the means is what you're saying. Heck, we could start laundering money. Imagine all the jobs we could make. And Obama could skim some money off the top. It'd be just a little so it's not a big deal. Again, why are you hung up on Obama being the one who did it? I don't think the articles said he did and I didn't say it. Defensive or something? How many other frivolous expenditures do you think there are? I mean it's just $70K. We have a surplus of money and all. It's not that much money in the grande scheme of things, we can splurge. Wow, you too? Let me go back through the articles and the posts......The only place I think you guys could have gotten the Obama bought the books would be from my post: I guess you were trying to infer something that wasn't there. Maybe I should have said: The state department is spending your tax dollars to buy Obama's book? Not to mention Obama profits from that. Its not major money but here we are in debt and this is how our money is spent by the state department? Thar doesn't seem the least bit wrong to you?
