Meh, Like Punk said, I'm not afraid to go out unarmed but I prefer not to. I know carrying is the only thing that puts me on equal grounds (or as close as possible) with someone who might want to hurt me. I want to go home to my daughter each night and if she's out with me, I want her to go home to her mother. She's my main reason to carry. No matter what I do today, I will go home.

My only point in this entire thing was to disprove your statement: "thats why states cant set their own drinking ages". Yes. the feds said, you will mandate an age of 21 or else we will withhold federal funding. The feds forced the states to mandate that age. Before that law, states had other ages, many of which were 18. Also quoted in there:

States CAN set their own drinking age. The Feds just told them that if they don't make the age 21, they will deny the states funding. Blackmail.
