  1. EE) “Roadway” means that portion of a highway improved, designed, or ordinarily used for vehicular travel, except the berm or shoulder. If a highway includes two or more separate roadways the term “roadway” means any such roadway separately but not all such roadways collectively.
    (BB) “Street” or “highway” means the entire width between the boundary lines of every way open to the use of the public as a thoroughfare for purposes of vehicular travel.

    So I'd say yes.

  2. chebby - i dont think the walk way in front of a store like best buy etc is considered a "side walk" by law....im not sure if you can get a ticket for it or not, probably only subject to tow if the owner doesnt want you there

    Definition:

    (FF) “Sidewalk” means that portion of a street between the curb lines, or the lateral lines of a roadway, and the adjacent property lines, intended for the use of pedestrians
  3. This is the closest I could find. I can't find anything about the white lines, only sidewalks.

  4. this is a different situation in my mind... If the business owner chooses to clearly mark the sidewalks as "motorcycle parking" then have at it. There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't IMO. That is the decision of the business owner.

    You're absolutely correct. If they make it known that you can park a bike there, than that's cool. I just don't go around making my own parking spots.

  5. I've always parked in the parking spaces, except at IP. I just pick a safe spot and walk, not a big deal to me. To me, parking on the sidewalk by the door is just being lazy. I'm just not like that. I almost always use the stairs instead of the elevator too. Just my preference.

  6. regardless of the specific legalities, I think having the bolt locked open during transport should motivate anyone who stopped me to cut me some slack. Ammo in backpack, rifle across the back of the tail (in its range bag).

    I've been thinking of constructing a ghetto-rigged sissy bar for touring purposes anyway...

    Absolutley. I'm sure the more "difficult" you make it for yourself would help out with LE.

    This applies if you DO NOT have your CCW I'm assuming correct?

    Just what I quoted, correct. If you have a CHL, the info is in the same ORC, or I quoted it here: http://www.ohioriders.net/showpost.php?p=600644&postcount=30

  7. what legalities are involved in transporting a firearm on a motorcycle WITHOUT A CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT?

    I'd love to show up to such a "ride, shoot, drink, camp" event with just my bike. Trailering the bike to the event would make packing a ton easier, but I'd feel like a tool trailering a street bike.

    There is nothing that states the ammo but be separated from the firearm, that I have been able to find. Although doing that isn't a bad idea though, before my CHL, I did it too. A loaded magazine that is separated from the firearm is still considered a loaded firearm. Gotta empty the magazines and/or speed loaders.

    2923.16 Improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

    http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2923.16

    C) No person shall knowingly transport or have a firearm in a motor vehicle, unless the person may lawfully possess that firearm under applicable law of this state or the United States, the firearm is unloaded, and the firearm is carried in one of the following ways:

    (1) In a closed package, box, or case;

    (2) In a compartment that can be reached only by leaving the vehicle;

    (3) In plain sight and secured in a rack or holder made for the purpose;

    (4) If the firearm is at least twenty-four inches in overall length as measured from the muzzle to the part of the stock furthest from the muzzle and if the barrel is at least eighteen inches in length, either in plain sight with the action open or the weapon stripped, or, if the firearm is of a type on which the action will not stay open or which cannot easily be stripped, in plain sight.

  8. The Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Celexa, Effexor, Valium, Klonopin, Ativan, Restoril, Xanax, Adderall, Ritalin, Haldol, Risperdal, Seroquel, Ambien, Lunesta, Elavil, Trazodone War

    As it approaches its tenth year, our nation’s longest war is showing signs of waning. Meanwhile, our soldiers are falling apart.
    Depending on the war, post-traumatic stress can have many expressions, but this war, because of its omnipresent suicide bombers and roadside explosives, seems to have disproportionately rendered its soldiers afraid of two things: driving and crowds. Movie theaters, subway cars, densely packed spaces—all can pose problems for soldiers, because marketplaces are frequent targets for explosions; so can any vehicle, because IEDs are this war’s lethal booby trap of choice. Booth manages his driving anxieties by leaving his Long Island home every morning at 4:30 a.m., when there’s no risk of traffic (especially under bridges, which militants in Iraq are always blowing up), and avoiding the right lane (in Afghanistan and Iraq, one generally drives in the middle of the road to avoid setting off IEDs). Once he gets to the city, Booth parks around the corner from his office and has managed to arrange his life so that he never encounters more than a handful of people. The only real logistical challenge is lunchtime, which he handles by ordering in, picking up from a grill across the street, or skipping entirely.

  9. Glad to see the dumbass go right off the bat... HAHA you cocky bastard... Didnt hit shit on his final challenge (he did but not enough)... The quiet guy that does not say a word hits 5 of 6... :D

    Shit cracks me up. These guys (and gals) are the top in their field of expertiece with their weapons. Hell you give me a bone stock G.I. edition 1911 and billiards balls on a post, I could not hit them all no matter how much ammo I had. Put me out there with my 1911 that I know well inside and out and it (might) be a different story! :D

    The cocky shit that got sent home... Running on chris because he is supposed to be good and he did not hit anything. Chris should of turned around at the end and said "I just wanted the 2K bass pro card". :D

    I was glad he went too. Way too cocky.

    How about the one guys shot when voting? Perfect shot :eek:

    That was sweet.

  10. true, maybe i should have said pulling for, not betting on.......not much is known yet about the other shooters, but Maggie with 3 gun and country boy, just cuz he is a country boy and has been feeding the family

    I figured as to why you'd choose them and I'd agree with it. But I don't know enough about the rest, That one guy is just a golfer. Curious as to what he brings to the table.
