  1. Nano Vault. I have the gun in there, with the cable lock through it for now, and the ammo in another part of the house, until I get more comfortable with it, put some rounds through it, and get the kids educated.

I was a bit disappointed with the nanovault at first, since the lid didn't lock down tight. I had time to investigate tonight, and I found that the little metal catch on the end of the lock cylinder wasn't tight. Now it closes down nicely.

Ya know, I haven't fired it yet. I'll get back to you tomorrow.

That's what I said, nano vault. :wtf: Anyways, glad you got it tightened down. Bring some ammo tomorrow and print out some targets. You can get some trigger time in during lunch.

Oh, and you should feel special...this is my

  2. It's a good AND bad idea. You better obey EVERY law there is because if you mess up, all the evidence against your riding is on video. I am against incriminating myself; I'm not perfect on 2 wheels if you know what I mean. ;)

TWO wheels? You sure you don't mean ONE?

  3. Yeah, sometimes seeing it makes it understandable. I wasn't sure how easy it'd be for you to see what I was doing in the vids. Also, I'm sitting in my recliner and using my wireless mouse. It doesn't get real good movement when it's on the arm of the chair which is why it was kinda erratic.

  4. It's pretty much the same way. Go to your profile and on the right it will say add album or add pictures I think.(forget how it looks before you have pictures in your profile) I got another video uploading for you to explain how to upload them into your profile and an alternate way to post those pictures into thread.

  5. Wow. I dunno how I wouldn't handled that.

I'm sure the vast majority ride without cameras, and it's not like you can get your cellphone out and call the cops with full gear on trying to chase a hit and run suspect. I'd feel helpless.

I think I'd chase the guy first though, worry about the cops later. :dunno: This is another upsetting video post.

I've done that actually. Was following a guy I thought was seriously drunk. He was all over the road from white line to white line. I stopped, pulled out my cell phone, dialed the cops, flipped up my modular, stuck it into my helmet, lower the front to help with wind noise and took off after the guy. Not the easiest thing to do.

I pulled up beside him at a light. He said he hadn't slept in about 3 days and was seriously tired. I told him to pull over and take a nap. He actually listened.

  6. :welcome: I've been worried about the gun shooting myself if I went down on my bike as well. I'd love to see my worries debunked. I'm not going to be the test dummy, but someone else who is willing should report back.
Located at the rear of the trigger where it bears on the frame, the trigger safety prevents movement until the pivoting trigger is pulled. The second is an internal, spring-loaded plunger that prevents firing pin movement until the rearward movement of the trigger bar deactivates just before it releases the sear to fire the pistol. Both also serve to prevent trigger and/or firing pin movement in the event that the pistol is dropped.

This is one reason I love the M&P. Not sure if the XDs have this. I'm sure Glocks don't since they are so far behind the times and technology. Cough Jagr Cough

  7. Seems states are separating themselves more and more from the federal gov't.

SB1178 provides "that all goods grown, manufactured or made in Arizona and all services performed in Arizona, when such goods or services are sold, maintained, or retained in Arizona, shall not be subject to the authority of the Congress of the United States under its constitutional power to regulate commerce."

  8. I picked up a Uncle Mike's IWB holster for my XD from Gander. Got it home to find that the trigger guard doesn't clear. I'm going to look at it some more later and decide for sure, but I think it's going back. Maybe just going back to get the one that will fit right.

It's it made out of soft felt type stuff? Jamie has one of those and we both hated it. It slid in and out too easily. Maybe it was just the fit because it wasn't gun specific, just size.

  9. Oh, and for having extra mag, I'd get a mag holster and wear it on your weak side. That way you can keep your gun aimed and reach with the other hand to grab another mag. If not, you'll be trying to reach with your left hand (assuming your right handed) to your right side of your hip.

  10. how do these work? i like the spot for the extra mag, but it looks backward to me like a lefty holster, but it says ambidextrous

i like the extra spot for a mag on first, i like that the second has adjustable cant, and i like the size of the last one since its less bulky lol

First one, the clip switches sides for right or left hand. As it's set up, it's for left hand carry.

Second is nice because you can adjust the cant. Some people like more of a cant when they draw. Personal preference.

Last one, same type just different size. Made for your gun.
