Yes, like everyone had said. You CAN open carry a firearm even if you have a CHL. Many people only get their CHL's because you must have a CHL to carry a loaded handgun in a motor vehicle, or on a bike. A lot of the instructors are given bad information. I don't know for sure if this is on purpose or by accident but your type of story happens all the time.

I heard the guy who took down Loughner had his CHL. He contemplated drawing but was concerned for innocent bystanders and making sure her didn't shoot the wrong guy. He didn't even draw his weapon. I have not verified this information but found it interesting.

I don't think the neighbors or police would appreciate us firing in my backyard seeing as I living right in town. But, I'll have to talk to my dad. I usually go shoot on his 8 acres. He and I have actually been talking about designing a range. Putting up a deck to shoot from and digging the range out into the hill. I'll talk with him about having a few OR people out to shoot sometime.

So when we doing one of these near cleveland?
