  1. Well I finally bought a drill. Went to home depot and they had Ridgid 18v 2ah hammer drill, two batteries and charger for $249. Almost got that until I saw a combo kit: the above plus 1/4 impact with 4ah batteries for $20 more. Kind of a no brainer. Salesman said on the displays you can use to screw screws into a board, the Makita he charges every week, another brand, can't remember which, every two weeks. But the 4ah be can't remember, it's been weeks and weeks. The other selling point is the point is the lifetime warranty on everything, including batteries. I'm quite happy.

  2. And the shops get the cars after the Advance Auto and Autozone code scan doesn't lead them to the correct fix for their vehicles.  No offense to the guys that are there just doing their job...  Well, except one maybe...

lol, putz. There are very few codes we will make a parts recommendations for, stuff like O2 S1B1 Heater circuit. haha, most others we'll refer to a commercial shop for further diagnosis.

Oh and Advance will not clear codes for liability reasons.

  3. Okay, need some help. What's the cheapest place to buy college textbooks? This semester's books, through the COTC Barnes and Noble bookstore, will be $590 to $785 to buy, used and new respectively. If I rent used, it'll be $360, assuming there is availability but that seems like a lot just to rent and there may be some I want to keep, like my psych book from last semester. Thoughts and ideas?

  4. It's not that fact that they listen to the same music. It's those that have the ICP logos tattooed on their bodies, those that identify as juggalos seem to get into a lot of trouble with the law, the fact that they consider themselves family... It goes beyond just being a huge fan, it goes into cult like behavior.

  5. If you can get  bigger, that's always better. Better to have more power than you need than not enough and have to rotate more things on and off the the power.

This calculator will give you a ballpark on your needs.

Really you should go to each thing you want to run and see specifically what power needs you have.

I also recommend having an extra spark plug or too, pull cord, etc so that if power goes out and something happens, you can fix it right away. Oh and remember the thing won't run without fuel so having filled fuel cans is always a good idea.

If you get it, do a tune up on it. Run fresh gas, clean carb, plug, air filter. Run it, hook stuff up to it,  before you need to so you know it operates properly.

If you run it outside, chain the hell out of it because its common for them to be stolen in an emergency. If you can secure it in a garage or basement, make sure it's exhausted properly or you'll die from carbon monoxide.

I rent so hooking it up to the house isn't an option. Mine has a corded remote that I can bring inside and plug into as well as start/shut off the unit.

  6. Or put a sign on it that says its an electric fence. If you're a thief, are you gonna risk getting your ass zapped for a few bucks in copper?

Yes they will. Ever seen the video of the guy getting the crap burned out of him to steal anhydrous ammonia? Making meth was more important than him not being able to breath and getting burned.

Hell, they die trying to steal copper from power lines and stations. They dgaf
