  1. I usually do brush it out, that was after a long day of work. I ordered some beard balm to try out.
  2. newegg.com has them pretty cheap too, if you're not the "Amazon type" of person...
  3. It's throttle by wire. The APP and TPS are both dual potentiometer sensors, cross checking each other. It is a very sensitive system, and would set a code if there was a problem, or go into what we in GM land call "reduced power mode" and be a whole other set of issues. So, now that Tonik finally picked up on it and posted the Office Space reference, I think we can rule out the TPS. Then again, it IS a Chrysler product, defying all logic anyway.
  4. I KNOW I only hit submit ONCE! I even switched away from that window pretty much right away!
  5. Oh, come on Pauly. I know you had something of importance (or snarkiness) to say! LOL
  6. That's funny! A bad converter RARELY sets a lean code! Oxygen sensors rarely set a lean code, as well. Ugh. Maybe things are different with these newer Chrysler products, though?
  7. I was thinking m,ore about the price. If I go 5 days a week (which is what I have in mind) that works out to $4.50 or less a session. I don't think that's so bad.
  8. They have a schedule with sessions that begin at 6 am, with the latest at 7:30 pm. I SHOULD be able to make something work without killing family time. Even if it's just for a while for me to learn what sort of stuff I need to do, that I might be able to do on my own. Maybe do the CF during the winter, and on my own when the weather is nice? I don't know for sure yet, but I HAVE to do something, and that something HAS to be positive, and something that I will stick with. It's not ONLY about the fitness, it's also some discipline toward the need for fitness that I need, if that makes any sense.
  9. No Jeep for me! I hate them. And shorts? I already wear them most of the summer anyway, and I HATE the cold, so no go in the winter. At this point, I'm just going in to talk to the owner. If I had any idea of what to do on my own, I would sign up for the local gym, but the only ones convenient to me are not staffed, and I want to have a plan to get results. I see it as more than a support system, it's a plan of WHAT to do, hopefully HOW to do it, AND the support to get it done. I'm not just jumping in with both feet, because I know that $90 a month is a LOT of money!
  10. I have an appointment to talk to the owner/main coach next weekend. I'm going to bring up a lot of this stuff, and feel out what he says. I'm not looking top be able to do "perfect" pull-ups or anything, I'm just not going to be ALL about the reps, I want to be more about the most reps doing it right, or at least the way that it will do the most good for me and my goals. Thanks for the input so far!
  11. I had field service engineers out twice. The first time, I had it fixed, the advisor was convinced that it wasn't. The second time, I ended up fixing it myself, after he talked to the engineer that designed the ECM, etc... All over a bad ground!
  12. I don't think it much matters who is responsible at this point. Chrysler is probably up the dealer's ass about it, if you've been talking to Chrysler. It sounds to me like the dealer has not been keeping on top of things, or Chrysler just does stuff WAY different than GM. It has to be a pretty extreme case for us to call technical assistance (not that way with all dealers, or even techs) and it has to go pretty far through them before an engineer gets involved. In the 4 or so years that I've been at a GM dealership, I only know of maybe 5 times that myself or other techs have had an engineer involved. Tech assistance, we have to call them sometimes just to be allowed to order a part that we know is failed, just for them to verify. I guess I'm bragging a little with this, that I've worked with people smart enough to fix pretty much anything that has come through the door without much help. If you get a GM, I know where you can bring it for most service!
  13. Wow! Why don't you tell us how you REALLY feel? Seriously though, I have seen and/or experienced most of what you are talking about there, and if I had it all happen over a short period of time, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be doing this anymore! I happen to work at a really good place now, make a decent rate (flat rate, though) get treated well, don't have many comebacks, I don't have to throw parts at a vehicle to fix it (ok, most of the time I don't) and can make a profit doing warranty work. However, when someone talks about getting into this business, I tell them to run really fast the other way. The abuse that you put your body through to do the job, the amount of stuff you need to know, and the instability of work coming through the doors makes me question why I do this almost every day.
  14. My bet is still on they have no clue and are running out of ammo for the parts cannon. They're going to have to ACTUALLY FIX it soon! If this happened where I work, it would have been over with MUCH sooner, such as the second week! These are the situations that give dealership service departments a bad rep.
  15. OK, point taken. Here's a crappy selfie.
  16. So I've heard... I'm not looking to crazy and bulk up, just get in better shape, turn some fat into muscle, and most of all... FEEL BETTER!
  17. Mine looks like it's close that length now, can't tell very well from that pic of you. Maybe I post up a selfie. Ugh... I hate that word, selfie.
  18. Just as the title asks. I'm thinking about starting, there's a place here in town, $90 a month for coach led classes every day. I have no idea what to do to even get started in a gym, or even on my own, so I NEED some leadership and encouragement. I know they also change the workout every day. What can I expect? Any reason why I should NOT do it? What would be better? Discuss.
  19. So, it's Bad approved, Tonik doesn't seem to be bustin' on it as much, I've figured out how to make it work the way I want to see it, and Casper apparently likes the way it works on his side of things. Sounds like it's already about time to change it again!
  20. Hmmm. I think I'll try some. My beard's days may be numbered though, I usually shave it off for the warmer weather. This year, I haven't even trimmed it since early October, and it's becoming quite epic (for me, anyway!)
  21. Oil or balm? I'm looking at Stately products on Amazon now.
  22. I'm "OK" with it. I'm still missing the good ole vBulletin setup. I wish it would have worked better on the back end for the ghostly one!
  23. Maybe this will help someone. Open one of the activity streams, then you'll see something like this: Click on "Edit this stream" and you'll get this: The settings I have clicked there will get you pretty much what we would get with the "View new content" page before.
  24. Or bookmark the custom stream that you made. Works great on the desktop, not quite as well on the mobile.
  25. And THIS is why I heart you! Truck fixed? I haven't seen that thread come up lately...
