  1. I'm sure it could be used for other purposes as well.
  2. The bike doesn't make the rider fast. Although, I'm willing to bet he's a better/faster rider than he lets on! Besides, what would YOU know about a 1000rr?
  3. SUX! (At least here it does!)
  4. I know of a pretty nice 954 rr for sale! Actually, I don't know that the wife would go for that, it's supposed to be her bike.
  5. Feeling safe and being safe are totally different! Also, a vehicle surviving a crash could mean that the occupants don't! They're designed to crunch up in a certain way, absorbing some of the impact, protecting the occupants.
  6. I'll let ya borrow the ninja!
  7. Especially those of us with half and quarter liter "sport" bikes! Thanks Tyler! Casey can ride perty decent, he's exempt from being lumped in with the cwoozah cwowd. That's got me close to
  8. Interesting story on cruise. One of our customers didn't want to pay over $1000 more to get the package he needed to have cruise. He brought it to use to find an aftermarket for it. I researched and found that you can unstall the switch, and the clutch pedal switch and have functioning OE cruise control! This was on a Toyota Tacoma. Most vehicles anymore are throttle by wire, and so there's no cruise control actuator, it uses what's already there. Just need a switch to tell the computer what to do, as long as the programming is already in there, as it was on his! That could be an option if you want cruise. Research it, someone may know if you can, out there on some forums. The tire pressure monitoring is nice, and it's a requirement for all 2008 and newer US cars and light trucks. I'm not sure about bigger trucks.
  9. You are probably right, I can't agree or disagree, since you've been there and I have not (as you have so clearly pointed out.) I don't think that is the point of most of the crap in this thread, at's more about the stereotyping, and the people that you are speaking of (Harley riders that are afraid to ride, making things dangerous for others) don't help. In fact, I saw a post on Facebook from a "Biker group" member that didn't help the cause, by looking for a band that will play music that "bikers would like" and I'm thinking that I know bikers that listen to country, some that like classic rock, some that are into heavy metal. So, the bikers don't do anything to help the image, from within the groups. Overall, I'm more disappointed that Serpent can't take any humor out of, and and agree to disagree on some things. Life's too short to be so uptight about things.
  10. I've had Directv for years, and I'm not easily willing to budge away from them! I have older receivers (that I own, not lease) that are TiVo (not Diretv plus DVR) standard def, and everything just works well. If shopping only for price, Dish Network might have an edge, but channel selection, and all compared to price is better with Directv, in my opinion.
  11. I have! In a 500+ HP Skyline GT-R! No I did not run it very hard though, since the engine was fresh, and being so different and all. I don't remember having much trouble shifting.
  12. I saw the preview for it. I may have to hit it up on TiVo, since the wife is watching a movie that she started in the middle of, AND has me recording a later showing of it.
  13. These pics show the tool that Honda really wants you to use:
  14. Not on that one you wouldn't! The strut is the one that has the wishbone that the halfshaft goes through, they just have it removed in that vid. The manufacturers recommend against using the method we use, smacking it with a hammer, because it distorts the tapered hole in the control arm, and you're not guarateed that the stud of the ball joint will fit the taper properly anymore. Will that change how I do them? Nope! I've never had a problem with one. Maybe one time I'll assemble one with some prussian blue compound and see how it checks out. I think I have to pull the halfshafts on my own car to get the catalytic converters through, so I could try it then, if I remember.
  15. Using tax payer money to break the laws that they would write tickets for, to do something that is very questionable in it's effects. Hmm...

Forget the PM's, we all need to hear about this... "To learn from your mistakes"
  17. That's a "smiley". Graphics, as in the general layout of the site, the logo, etc...
  18. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the overwhelming majority of people don't come here for the graphics.
  19. Ah, yeah, Ben's the one asking you in this thread about the other one, and waiting for a list of the other forums that are 100x better than this one.
  20. I get all day long clear nasal passages using Omnaris and sometimes Zyrtec. The Dr. prescribed the Omnaris for me early this summer, and all has been well since!
  21. Here are my results from the desktop:
  22. This is about the best I get from the laptop, limited by wireless G: I susually get a bit better from a wired connection on my desktop, but never any higher on the upload, since that's capped where it is.
