  1. Yeah that video is the exact model I have. When I hold the safety switch the HSI does not start to glow at all. I believe the HSI was replaced about a year or 2 ago. I was trying to find a picture of the HSI for this model furnace to see what a new one looks like, and compare it to mine.

I wouldn't be surprised that the hsi is bad again. I think I read that they are a high failure rate, also.

  2. Here is a clip I found on Youtube showing the inside of the furnace.A few seconds into the video, there are labels that appear on the screen pointing out the location of the flame sensor. Looks like a tight fit inside the furnace.

Wow! That's a tiny furnace! Just 2 burners! Very good example though!

You know you are feeling old when I am still home on new years eve, not partying or drinking......

:plus1: And to top it off, watching "how do they do it" on the science channel!

I would probably be at least doing something other than sitting in bed, if I wasn't still feeling ill.... I HATE being sick!

  3. quick safety question... do you have a carbon monoxide detector in the house?

If not, you should give a call to the fire department and let them know your furnace is acting funny and you'd like to make sure you don't have a carbon monoxide problem, they'll send someone out to test it... did it for me at my apartment without any question.

Or just light a candle and leave it in front of of the furnace... :dunno:

No, not really, DON'T listen to my smartass comments...

  4. What make, and approx age is it? I had one at my old house that would start and run, but then would shut down shortly after lit. It turns out that the flame detector was "dirty" and not detecting the flame. I put dirty in quotes because it didn't LOOK dirty. I pulled it, cleaned it with a scotch-brite pad, or fine sandpaper, and all was good. Not sure if that's your problem, but it's a possibility.

  5. I think in Franklin County its always 30 days from when you call. Like you said i could have changed.

They didnt even look at my receipts. i had a bunch. but i wouldnt want to be the guy to go in without them. Wheez i ope most of your stuff wasnt ebay bought. those rec eipts dont count.

Why aren't you out at Moose's bash, anyway?

I guess they don't always look at the receipts, but if you walk in without them, and have replacement parts, they WILL take stuff that is in question! I heard of a guy that had to leave there with no doors because of no receipt, or VIN tag being painted over!

  6. They pissed me off when they killed Oldsmobile anyway...

This isn't your father's Oldsmobile. No, it's the old guy's from OR that's old enough to be everyone's dad!

Seriously though, I still don't get the dropping of Olds, and now Pontiac. NONE of the vehicles were unique to the brand, they were all on a platform shared by another GM nameplate. If none, at least most. Also, with both brands, many of the dealerships were shared with another nameplate, also. Pontiac/GMC, Olds/Cadillac, etc... Maybe that is just unique to some areas, and not the norm throughout the country?

  7. Rebuild Title/inspection isn't that big of a deal. Glad you're gettng it done.

Not a big deal at all. Make sure have have receipts or documentation for everything though! The inspection is making sure there are no stolen parts, so anything that should have a VIN tag on it had better have one (not sure there are many things on a bike that do though...)

Keep in mind when you call to make your inspection appointment it will be at least 30 days out.

Surprisingly enough, they've gotten better about that, and sometimes it's only a couple weeks. At any rate, call about a month before you're ready to see how they are at the location you'll be going to.

  8. That is a subject that I really dont like since just 3 days ago my little angle called me to the bathroom to show me the red water and say to me "now what"

Eeewww... Can't bring myself to make fun of, or even kid around about that one!!

  9. No matter what the box says, never flush tampoons. They expand in the tweeter, imagine what they do in a drainpipe? Plus, they get caught in yard traps and cause sewage backup in your house.

No need to tell how I know about this! The only question is how they got there, as neither female that's in the house regularly admits to flushing them.... :dunno:

  10. Sorry Moose , not gonna make now unless these meds make a quick turn around.

She's been sick since the day after the last shindig was sure she'd be over it by now damit.

The only way that might be able to change is if my daughter comes with me . Dont have the heart to leave the sick wife to tend to her while I go out. Whats club policy on 10 year olds at the bar ?

:wtf: That doesn't sound normal for you. It sounds like the right thing to do, though.

On the other hand, you can blame the illness on moose?
