  1. Because we're OHIO riders Porter look at the top of your screen !

:nono: You must've missed the RIDER's part! Nothing wrong with riding out of Ohio. Geesh, make a suggestion to make it a bit more ineresting and look what happens.... :D

I was just noticing that the route is close to KY, MI and IN, and already going through WV and PA, why not make it 5 states (other than Ohio)

    He's kinda slow:D

Never claimed to be fast, other than once in a while with a reply.

  2. Ok. I guess the eggshell would be the best. I want it fairly dull. You have any pictures painted with the eggshell?

How about just sanding the clear with P1000 wet after it cures, and not buffing it? Attack painter can advise on this one I'm sure

  3. we get along fine, he said that was intended for in the house, which that thought never crossed my mind to begin with. He said he didnt care about the garage. but I put a fire extinguisher out there anyways just for extra measures.

That's cool! Never thought of it that way either! I thought maybe he had a bad experience with a kerosene heater in a garage before!

Personally, I wouldn't have a kerosene heater in the house at this point, because we have 3 kids running around (well, one is just getting good at crawling) so it's a no go there. We have an electric heater for the baby's room, but it's only on when he's in his crib.

It's always nice to be cool with the landloard like that!

  4. Hey figure out what brand of paint line you use and i can tell you the steps of how to achive the flat look. Its all done with a flattening agent that is mixed into the clear. The ratio's will change depending on how flat you want the finish to be. Whether it be semi gloss, eggshell, or a true flat no gloss. Ive done sevearl Ducati's to match the factory flat black and have to go with the eggshell.

Let me know Id be happy to give you some guidance.

We have the Wanda paint system. It's pretty cheap, but has worked out really well for us. We can get any of the Akzo Nobel stuff though.

  5. Well I think I figured it out. I put the bike back together and put the starter cover back on with some hondabond(RTV). Well it made the same noise but worse when I tried to start it up. Traced the sound to the starter cover, I loosened the bolts on the cover and it started right up. So I think the clearances on the rods the gears fit on between the cover and engine are too tight with just RTV so I am going to get the actual gasket and see if that increases the clearances and works. Hopefully...

    Interesting, but makes (some) sense.

  6. 2 posts since may? :nono: You gots to post up more, for realz

Holy cow, yes you do! We don't bite around here, maybe flame each other and call names, but no biting, unless you're into that, a few can accomodate you....

    I want a spyder , seriously I do.

I'd have to ride one first. They are very intriguing though, to say the least...
