What do you consider a fast daily driver. anyone have one?
NOPR replied to Buck531's topic in Passing Lane
when the weather is moped prohibitive, thats me hahaha -
it looks like that guy martins got his own, even though he made quite a fool of himself. perhaps i could have my littlest hobo avatar on here just like all the other forums? as for the subtitle thingy, FNG works for me if it works for you.

man that is so radical. yeah, i said RADICAL. I've never seen this car on rx7club before, and i practically live on there! weird. Its nice to see large turbo FC's in ohio! anyway, hopefully i can start making mine as fancy once my cash flow continues. broke college student 7 owners unite! random request there hefty jesus, but okay! i dunno who you are or where you are but if we cross paths i'm down with taking you for a spin. although, maybe you should ask this guy? his car is rather similar although im guessing about 200rwhp faster.

having a fast DD sucks, its nice to have a TURD SLOW daily driver (like a 4 cylinder wrangler) so that when you get in your fast car, it totally blows you away with power. that being said, a 4 cyl wrangler is probably TOO slow, since it cant go fast enough to merge with traffic and struggles to cruise at freeway speeds. -
i just peeked in your photobucket! all i can say is: NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wanna race? hahaha

YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION!

GTO = goat. i guess its because they have the same letters or something... sort of.

I'll try to bring him along, but most likely he'll be in the RX-4 because the FD is down for now.

^^ haha, as funny as that was i dont mind noobs welcoming me. I came back to columbus for the weekend (woohoo easter?). Anyways, I got a chance to re-dyno the car today and tune some more. It made 330rwhp at 7500 RPM and 250 ft/lbs from 5500-7000 pretty solid then it started to drop a bit though the power kept climbing. Ill try to get a dyno chart up ASAP! Dyno run and tuning was done at Defined Autoworks (http://www.definedautoworks.com) again, tuned by Peter and Logan. Its a shame the cold weather was hanging around, i wanted to dyno it outside in the sun again! The open wastegate sounds NUTS and the extra 90rwhp is pretty noticeable haha.

that would be my friend logan, co-owner of defined autoworks. the car ran a 12.7 back in the day with some street tires and a slipping clutch. He freed up some more power since then, but thats the fastest it officially ran. did i mention its n/a?

tempting.............. VERY tempting....

uhh.. a 12a? all FC's came with some variation of the 13b.

TII's were all 5 speed manuals in the U.S.!! Also, that car is worth $4500 TOPS, and thats only because of low mileage. Normally i wouldnt even pay that much for a Series 4.

1850 on easy, those little bastards got strong and walked all through my shit.

looks like it could be a perfect donor car because of the title, just need to buy the FFR kit and make it into this! http://www.welaf.com/resources/files/1097652458.jpg who wants to give me 15 grand?

thank you again for all the welcome-ness! i look forward to going to some meets and maybe participating in some friendly races . its nice to see some people with nice cars AND a clue as to what they're talking about in columbus! I'm surprised more of you dont hate the brown, its usually rather unpopular haha.

awww that was MEAN. that like 438924693 foot eel thingy in that museum is CRAZY though!

I'm down! thats near finals week but i might be able to ride down there for a day!

it made 240hp and 900ft/lbs, it should be way higher now . anyways, as dustin mentioned thats TRUE axle torque taking into account the gear reduction, thats how the dynapack dyno measures it. since I did the pull in 4th and 4th gear is 1:1 it doesnt affect anything, but the gear ratio in the rear end is 4.1:1, so divide the 909.6 by 4:1 and you'll get the 'flywheel torque with drivetrain loss' of 221.85, which is what you're all used to. Hope that makes atleast some sense. Thanks for all the welcome-ness!

Hello, my name is Max and i live in Gahanna. I've been readin around here for quite a while and i figured I'll introduce myself. Maybe I'll even post some things! I go to school in Flint, MI and am in Flint until June. I go to Kettering University up here (formerly GMI). Anyways, i have a brown 86 2nd gen RX-7 with some stuff going on, im not really huge into drag racing but I enjoy a friendly race when i come across one. I just enjoy driving my car and want to meet more people with the same mindset. I cant stand people who talk shit about whose car is faster and all that and whose faster than me and whatever, but atleast i know to stay out of the kitchen. okay on to the car. Mods basically include a S5 TII block with some FD internals, big T4 Innovative Turbo Systems 60trim .86 A/R turbo, Haltech E8, walbro, some 1600cc secondarys, tomei LSD, brown paint, bunch of crap I'm forgetting but I named the big stuff. Engine was tuned by my good friends Peter and Logan at defined autoworks and dyno'd on their new dynapack dyno. (http://www.definedautoworks.com shameless plug). They also helped me with a lot of other stuff so props to them and such. I have a dyno chart from when I ran the stock turbo, dont have a new one for the new big turbo yet. enough blabbering, time for pictures! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/thelittlesthobo/camera184.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/thelittlesthobo/DYNO.jpg remember this chart is with the STOCK TURBO! (that thing was tiny!) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/thelittlesthobo/camera129noplate.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/thelittlesthobo/camera133noplate.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/thelittlesthobo/camera123.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/thelittlesthobo/camera128.jpg

+1! Carswell Mazda is the name of the shop. It's run by Ken Carswell, a MAZDA TRAINED mazda technician with 30+ years experience. Needless to say, he does great freakin work and truly knows his stuff. The link Dustin posted is the Defined Autoworks shop which is a high performance subdivision that Ken's son Logan has started. They both operate out of the same shop, so you can call them too, but most likely if its a stock car Ken will deal with it.

this is the best part: Internet home movie helps nab hoons 20 October 2005 By SEAN SCANLON Police have nabbed a group of "stupid hoons" after the men posted uncensored footage of their dangerous driving antics on the internet. Investigators fielded complaints from as far away as Britain after the young men uploaded the film to the web. The three-minute film was taken in July and shows a modified Subaru Impreza WRX racing up and down McAlpine Street in the Christchurch suburb of Sockburn, performing 360deg spins and burnouts before crashing into a tree. At one point the car almost collides with another motorist driving in the opposite direction. Smoke pours from the car's tyres as it tears along the street. Once the car crashes, several young men are caught on video running to check the occupants and push it down the road. James William White, 20, appeared in court yesterday charged with reckless driving after the film, which featured the car's number plate, prompted complaints from throughout New Zealand and overseas. White pleaded guilty, was sentenced to 120 hours community work and was disqualified from driving for nine months. The Canterbury road policing manager, Inspector Derek Erasmus, said several people were involved in the incident, which could only be described as "stupid". During the film, the car heads straight for a small group watching and filming from the side of the road. Someone could have been killed, Erasmus said. http://stuff.co.nz/stuff/0,2106,3450072a4560,00.html
