im not in rotary denial, there's nothing to deny, my car runs, and runs well enough to wax plenty of cars on here. Im not saying there arent people who blow up rotaries, im just saying they're usually stupid. Also, the reason you see so many for sale is because no one wants a car with a blown motor. its the same case with the O.P. here, his car died, he wants something new. How is that rotary specific? You act as if every RX-7 out there is on its fourth or fifth engine becuase they just blow up, its simply not true. Also, plenty of SBC cars blow up engines as well, they arent some sort of invincible motor. just look at that 'guess whats in my oil pan' thread, or even the O.P.'s car! as far as people swapping engines, its all in the chassis. its a cheap, light, amazing handling readily available chassis. not to mention its ginormous tranny tunnel and RWD set up that make it capable of accepting damn near any engine. as far as other people on here blowing up their engines, that's on them. I dont know what they did to their car or how they did it, but i know what I've done and what people i know have done, and I know these engines dont suck if you do it right.

I think you would have a lot of fun with an RX-7, its COMPLETELY different from a trans am in almost every way, but still plenty of potential to be fast. Could be a good chance to try something new and different.

Logan and I rolled my fenders too, but it was pre-paint. Mojoe can attest to how mine came out, he felt them himself! Defined autoworks isn't a body shop, and they will never claim to be one. Body work and paint is simply not part of their business at this time. They have the tool though, and if you talk to them they might be willing to help you out.

im confused about what you're saying here? Defined Autoworks is owned by logan and peter. Logans car IS there at the shop, since he lives behind the shop.

all 10ae's should be monochromatic white. white body, white wheels, white molding, white tail lights even. it should also have a slightly tinted bronze windsheild, unless its been replaced. theres some vin number thing it has too, as well as some other knick knacks that indentify it. also, all 10ae's were turboII's. if its a yellow n/a with a 10ae badge, its probably not legit, so dont overpay. It should also have a black interior. if its a S4 black interior it has to be a 10ae. the easiest way to tell whether it a 10ae interior is by the black manual seat belts. all other black interiored FC's had the stupid auto seat belts, and all the others with manual belts werent black! hope this helps, i dont want to see you ripped off. if you have pictures or anything i might be able to help you more.

that kit is jank as fuck. you're basically buying a blown motor for 1300 bucks. first of all, every part is chinese or tawainese knock off shit. they're trying to lure you hard with a lot of parts and big power promises. ".57 compressor wheel trim mapped for low and high boost setups." im not even sure what this is supposed to mean, 'mapped turbos', but its wrong. a turbo is set to be efficient in one general range. these arent miracle turbos that will be super bomb dank ass at 6psi and 20psi. those dont exist, and if they did they wouldnt be made in china. second of all, its not a complete kit. the intercooler pipes are a joke, there probably wont be enough length or bends. there are no couplers or clamps included. there are no oil feed or return lines. im being nitpicky about that stuff, but it'll cost money. however, lastly and most importantly, theres no fuel stuff! no injectors, no ecu, no tuning, no pump, no nothing! they give a pressure regulator thats also cheesy knock off junk. yeah, that'll work. just bump up the pressure as you add more boost, what could go wrong!? getting a proper fuel set up capable of handling as much power as it claims and a proper form of tuning it is not a cheap task. im sure with enough time and money, this kit will run. but every thing ive read about these knock off parts has been either blatantly bad or 'hit or miss'. There are 5 parts on that kit that will blow up your engine if they fail: turbo 1, turbo 2, wastegate 1, wastegate 2, and fuel pressure regulator. i wouldnt trust it for a second. the only things decent in the kit are the manifolds and the intercooler itself. the manifolds might work once you get the almost certainly warped flanges milled flat (more $$) and intercoolers are pretty much fail proof unless they leak. okay, ive ranted enough. in short, dont waste your hard earned money on this headache of a kit. now someone can come in and talk about their buddies cousins civic that ran a 9 for 600 dollars using one of these kits, i dont care, they suck.

for the love of sweet jesus do not put a piece of shit ford 2.3T engine in it. not only are the V8's more modern/powerful and have a stronger aftermarket, but they actually fit under the fucking hood! also, you should race me when your done

defined autoworks can tune it as well. We're in the process of doing some Megasquirt stuff right now for a V6 MR2.
