  1. Greetings from Nibidia, I have a Billion Zillion dollars that I cant cash in without your social security number. I'll split it with you so your half is just under a Zillion bucks! Just send me the rest, in cash, please also include a outline of your front door key and a list of times you wont be home.
  2. For all the science fiction nuts that were at Hooters. It's http://anotherealm.com Great science fiction, fantasy and horror since 1995.
  3. The book calls for a 3.25x19 4 pr on the front. This crosses to, in the new notation, somewhere between 90/90 to 110/90. Right now it has a 100/90 on it. What effect on the handling/turning abilities would going to a 90/90 have?
  4. I'll save some beer for you but I'm keeping the boobies!
  5. Hooters Hilliard = beer, boobies, bikes. (landmarks, yea I rode by it twice the first time) It's back behind Key Bank, near Advance Auto Parts. It hides, look for tall flags orange/white
  6. Looks like the rain missed us! 7PM at the Circuit City.
  7. But back to the map thingie... It does sound like a good idea. What about a map of C-bus that everyone could print out and draw their own favorite rides on. We could copy and trade them at bike nights. Get some street cred for the coolest ride! All that would be needed is a map, a printer and a magic marker. Just sayin'
  8. Clever idea. It does seem to me that a few colors of magic marker and a gas station map could do the same thing. Hmm, might not be a bad idea at that.
  9. We have a winner! See you there unless it rains, a lot! Just checked the weather, rain and lots of it. Damn! Starting a 2pm and going the rest of the night. I hope the forecast changes.
  10. Might also be faster than yours! (Um, in a straight line that is)
  11. One solution, sell the Ninja and buy an older bike, pay cash and just get basic liability. If you total the bike you eat the cost of it. Plenty of older bikes out there that are plenty fast for a newer rider. Check Craigslist to see what I mean. An older 250 - 650 under $1500 easy. Yes the newer sport bikes will kick its ass, but they will do that to your 250 anyway. Nope, not a babe magnet. But it is 2 wheels and its cheap. The only real downside is that you will have to learn how to fix it too. Got any tools? You will... http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1267723834.html CX 500 Honda with luggage $1050. http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1267609451.html Kawasaki Kz 400, $1000 - $1000 (dublin) http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1267336412.html Suzuki GS500E - $1000 (Columbus, OH) http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1267195585.html 1983 Yamaha XV500 Motorcycle - $650 (Zanesville) http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1266999006.html Very clean - 1978 cb 400 hawk - $1250 (rittman) All are cheap and all are good starter bikes
  12. From the look of this thread you won't be disappointed. Weather says no rain till at least Tuesday...
  13. 70 members plus friends! WOW, we are going to need a _LOT_ of parking! This is going to be great Ummm, sammich
  14. I'm not sure that is true. See my previous post on that. Quoting the law itself seems like it is legal under certain circumstances. Your scenario would be one of them, I think. Also ORC 4511.70 prohibits people from opening doors to stop you from passing them. I've asked for clarification on the lane splitting issue. As I read the laws I think it is legal, in certain situations. Being a squid at 80mph on 270 isn't one of them. Course there could be a law I am un-aware of too.
  15. Good luck! Send pics of bikes over there. What do they ride over there?
  16. Reaching back into past experiences. Back in the day... People actively disliked motorcycles and would sometimes try to run them down from behind. Bikes were usually fast enough to get away. But what legal remedy would I have in Ohio when stopped for speeding as I tried to save my life? Keeping in mind that 1 cop can only stop 1 vehicle at a time, guess which one it was? What about tailgaters six inches off my rear tire at 65mph with nowhere to go except faster? Can I defend myself, legally, by throwing things at the car? Ball bearings, marbles, helmets, kitchen sink, atomic weapons... Which leads to another question. Concealed carry on a bike. How does that one work? What about non-concealed carry? As in riding the bike to the range. What is the law on that one? Come to think of it what is the law on open carry on a bike? "Ignorance of the law is not an excuse, just an explanation" - Some TV western judge.
  17. Nobody else has asked, so I will, what happens? Assume they get away, then nothing I presume. Or, they thought they were fast but, no, not really, then they pull over. Or they are so fast they can't be caught, but somebody got a plate number. Or they crash, but survive. Then what? (Never mind the alternative) Nobody got a plate, all that is known is that it was a black bike, then a black bike is seen in the area, now what? What if your on the second bike and have no idea what is going on, what should you do? What if it isn't safe to pull over right there due to traffic, road conditions or other? What if you think it might be a fake cop? It has happened, particularly to women, what should they do? Do people ever start to run, then stop after some real small distance then say they were just so startled by the flashing lights? Does that happen? What about lights for plates. Some bikes have no way to do this. (I'm thinking sport bikes with no place to mount it) Then what?
  18. Got the temps in the winter on a whim. Didn't get a bike till the summer. Took the test a month later. Did the rules except for the highway thing, once to outrun a rainstorm. The rest of the rules didn't really apply as I wasn't going to do those things anyway, temps or not.
