I bought a boat after i sold my Triumph so I could have more quality family time with my daughter. It ended up being more a hassle than I enjoyed. Six weeks later I had my first sportbike. It's in the blood, and it comes back with a vengeance.

For the charging system, maybe have the mechanic check the wiring between the stator and regulator. Mine had a lot of corrosion in a harness assembly that sapped a lot of power. Took the harness out and hard wired the wires. No more voltage issues.

No backfiring at all. Do you have an aftermarket pipe on it? Did you put on a new EPROM to accomondate the change in fueling? PC III? A tune up might be in order too. Valvetrain is easy to check after a bit of disassembly, but has never been an issue for me. Always in tolerance. It's not part of the charm of the bike- it can be worked through.

Looks like you need a Tig or Blue Flame on that beauty though. Make a Duc with Termis sound neutered....

I've got a daughter that I'm bringing up myself. I had no problem with her getting her hair or makeup done. I'd actually take her to have it done by friends in the industry. Nordstrom's for the make up, and Studio Posh for the hair. She felt good about herself, I'd flow some money to my friend's, and get an excuse to hang a bit. Good way to pick up teh ladiez too.:leghump:
