    Aaannnd he's back! Where have you been all year? I feel like I lost my puppy dog. Now only if we could get the murse and John to show up I'd feel complete again. I mean Jesus even Nick is coming back this round. All of the gang back together just like old times...I can only dream.

    But because of the internals he has the forks are now 10mm longer than stock, so he is still up 3mm higher overall.

    I'm coming Saturday and bringing a track newb with me. Since Jinu can't make it I had to find a new 675 buddy to bring with me. Also I'll be helping coach novice Saturday, I guess a lot of the regulars aren't gonna make it so Todd needs help. Racing the 600 sprints and the 20, possibly the 750 if all you guys are doing it just so I can hang with the cool kids. I'm in.

    Plus it's a pretty well set up bike with a bunch of spares. You'll be ready to go racing.

    Glad to see you stepping up. If you are running mid-high teens you'll be fine in advanced. That's about where I was when I finally made the move. Find some SV guys that are running similar times to you. Instead of blowing past in the straights, follow them for a few laps through the corners. That taught me a lot.

    Oh ya, and I'll be there for Sat and Sun as long as a couple parts I ordered earlier this week show up in time.

    I'm with you on this. This was one of my biggest reasons for not really wanting to move to expert. There's already novice guys running faster times (1:11's & 12's) at Nelson than I do (1:13's). I like getting to follow the fast guys for a few laps, but then after that I'm out riding by myself. I hate to see you leave the 600 grid, cause that just means an even bigger gap between me and the really fast guys. Hoping Todd will move more of these fast novice guys up to expert next year so the expert grids fill out.

    Just got home about 20 mins ago with a total of 499.3 miles for the day. I almost felt like driving around the block a few times to make it 500....almost.

    I changed maps on that a couple times, no telling what I did last...I believe the last map I had on there was the Arrow slip-on tune which is usually good for most slip-ons. Have you got yourself a cable off of ebay yet and downloaded TuneECU? You can check where it's at if you did, it's just set up as a %. If the "you're going this fast" thing was right, and you were going 65 but bike said 75, set that thing to 65/75=86.67% or about 87%. It should be pretty close then.

    We did this with my work group, it was a lot of fun. Not as complicated as it sounds. The only downfall is that some of the karts were obviously faster than the others, but I hear they got new rental karts since we did it and they are a lot more evenly matched.

    The rental karts are pretty quick. Way faster than any "amusement park" type of go carts I've been on. Shouldn't have any problem with the hills. Good news about the track. I knew it was just a rumor but seeing how much money thenew owners have put into the rest of the place I thought it was a safe bet they might actually complete the extension. Next they need to buy Bluegrass...

    Are they even available after the trackday Saturday? You'd have to call and find out. If they have a karting event going on they likely won't be doing rental karts. I went with a group from work and we raced them, they are pretty quick and it was a lot of fun. They gave us a good deal for having a large group too.
