  1. Other questions...can you bring a bicycle, scooter, etc into the track to ride around or is it walking only? Only other motorcycle race I've been to was AMA at Mid-O and having the scooter there was clutch. Can you do the same at Indy?
  2. Bumpity bump. I need to get this guy gone. $5500 is about as low as I care to go. Also working on getting the matching belly pan repainted, It was scratched up. That will go with the bike either way, before or after it sells. Seems to be one of the more popular additions to the street triple.

    PIRC

    Maybe...maybe not
  4. We're staying west of downtown, between dt and the track at a candlewood suites. When we booked a few weeks ago it was $170/night, and close enough to downtown that a cab ride shouldn't be bad.

I'll work on loading one later, rear view so you can see 10 minutes of jesters front.

Well let's hope they used the same asphalt compound as NCM and COTA.

I'm there, rain or shine, or both. In for Saturday and Sunday. Has anyone been out on the track at all, meaning like cars or anything? Wondering how the track surface will be for grip.

Haha well Ron certainly didn't quit. He still drinks enough to kill a normal man, he just drinks less than his normal fifth of Captain and 10 beers. Sometimes.

I'm planning on it also. I'll probably run C ss and C sbk, and possibly B ss. I'm hoping to see the rain drop below 50% before I decide to go for sure though.

Well damn that sucks. I'm just bustin your balls, it was a miserable wet, rainy weekend anyway. Didn't figure anyone who didn't have to be there would be there.

I felt the same way when you didn't come to PIRC to pit bitch for me.

I can't make the twilight but I think I'm taking Monday off to be there for the full day. If it goes well I'm planning on the WERA races on the 13th and 14th.

I'm signed up for the 18th and 19th already. Haven't signed up for August yet but I'm planning on it.

I think I'm gonna make the 20th at PIRC. I don't think I'll make the twilight at Mid-O on the 21st, but I want to make it there on the 22nd. That's the plan for now anyway.
  15. Yes, I'm excited. I'm the ginger that probably most of you don't know. I guess this will be somewhat of a bachelor party sort of thing. Even though I don't know a lot of you, if you're cool enough to be coming out to MotoGP then I'd love to see you all at whatever shenanigans we get into. The more the merrier.

As long as the weather looks good I'm planning on going Tuesday as well.
  17. My family reunions are actually fun, and I've been going since as long as I've been alive. But if my parents/brother aren't coming up from Florida then I'm down.
  18. It doesn't help that he was sitting up so high on the bike, pretty much "hanging off" in the wrong direction. The Pirellis on that bike are a pretty sport-oriented tire. What was the weather like? Cold tires and bad body position would be my guess.

    Fish.

Mahi Mahi is a nice meaty fish. Coat it with salt/pepper then grill both sides. I make a sauce with garlic, olive oil, lime juice, salt, and fresh cilantro. Brush it on the last minute of grilling. Best stuff ever.
  20. Only for the Daytona. You can get Street Triple R's in several colors.
  21. Guess I can't edit my original post to add pics, so here they are:
  22. 2012 Street Triple R with about 3,600 miles, Diablo Red The good: Excellent condition, very clean bikeBar end mirrorsDaytona fork springs/internals and adjusters. Gets rid of the slightly "spongy" front end feel the STR usually has.Less than 300 miles on brand new Michelin Pilot Road 3's.Just changed all the fluids, oil/brakes/radiator over the winter. Chain/sprockets, pads/rotors are all in excellent condition as would be expected for 3600 miles. The bad: One small scratch on the tank, one smaller scratch on the lip of the front rimBought as a Salvage Title. I rebuilt it and it currently has Rebuilt Title that can be titled/registered no problem. Even though it has a rebuilt title, it has a BRAND NEW frame. I have receipts to show it was replaced by Triumph under warranty due to a neck bearing failure, unrelated to the original reason for the salvage title. So no worries about the frame being twisted/bent or anything other than new. I'll be posting pics tonight.
