  5. http://www.ncmotorcyclists.com/miles_database.htm 99,000 miles / 2795 days = avg. 35.42 miles per day, 365 days a year for 7.9 years.
  6. the fiasco at mid-ohio, the 2006 superbike championship shootout, was enough for me. i havent been back since. mid-ohio total disregard for mc racer safety was borderline criminal. which is why heads rolled and the DMG took over. still not that much better than what it was. which is probably why mid-ohio may be dropped from the schedule.

  10. i rode a columbus, 555 loop today. i got off 555 at bartlett. then, 550 to 33 back to columbus. 205mi.. 555 is in good condition, light traffic, no LEO, many mc's..
  11. newark to far out of my way. were ya starting 555 route, ETA? i'll meet ya there.
  12. .. yeah, you'd probably crash & burn.
  13. 555 is one of the best mc routes in ohio. columbus - 555 loop is a all day ride for me. i usually stop in marietta for lunch break. then, Rt.550 from marietta - athens, Rt.33 back to the capital city.
  14. due to group late start and no plans for half-way break, i rode the route but, not with the group. i left cols. at about noon. so as to have time for lunch break in mcconnelsville. by the time i finished lunch, the first group rode into town. i then rode on. i figured yall would catch me by the time i got to somerset. but i never saw anybody after that. oh well, stuff happens. next time have a predetermined half-way break. with ETA to be determined by slow group. fast group gets there first, so be it. they just get to take longer break than slow group. this way everybody gets to regroup for second half of ride. makes for more fun and less confusion. just my 2cents worth.

  18. keep it as simple as possible. have lunch, break destinations and ETA predetermined. this way everybody can ride their own pace and route.
  19. yeah i'm saving $ over low octane and middle octane fuel. and i'm saving fuel too. maybe engine maintenance too. my strom showing 96k on the clock with no fail.
  20. i use prem fuel for best mpg.
