  1. i got pulled over b4 with plates "on" by a sheriff in hocking hills area. he didnt have a valid reason and ive never been one to mouth off. i felt targeted for sure on a sportsbike.

you got very lucky. what a relieving moment for you!

    Comparing rep: Socaln8tv > Jporter12

    :stfu::lol:

I have noticed the lack of your posting lately, btw....

so, does that mean you all miss me? :p i admit, this site gets addicting and its fun when you start to learn everyones' little nuances and quirks. i have missed it. <insert playing violin> ive been so tired.. you dont want to hear what my night is like after i get home at 10pm. im bent, seriously.

  3. I see three silver stars and three bronze stars. Quit yer' bitchin'!

im gonna go check my stars. hey, i just figured out all the rep stuff as it was with all the hoopla over it. took drama for me to go and find out how/why. etc.

  4. I just gave you rep. At least you're working! If you don't have to work tomorrow let's go ride.

    luv ya!! ;)

believe it or not tomorrows my first day off in like 11 days. im exhausted and i dont even get to rest either. i sooo want to go sat night.

  5. i went from ...needs to get a life.... to seriously? yes im complaining, but just a little!!!

ok ok. well yes, havent been around much cause im actually working again. i dunno how you guys go online @ work. the security where i work is tighter than a nuns.... (finish the sentence guys. i know you can make me proud.) ;)

  6. i heard them saying the h1n1 was intended to go into the regular flu shots but didnt make it in time and thats why its being distributed separately. im jacking my kids up on lots of citrus, bananas, apples... all of us everyday. hope it will pay off in lieu of the shot. i just can't do it. actually, ive never had flu shots ever, nor my kids. im not anti shot in general -- ive just never done it before.

  7. i feel your pain... coworkers are so much fun!

i sit next to a minister in training who is literally at least 8 to 10 years my younger. he's not married. has a girlfriend who knows can't afford her tiffany. also three young daughters whom the oldest he shed tears over her getting on the pill and a belly piercing....... and he's telling me to watch my mouth if i mumble "shit" to myself under my breath while i work quietly? can we open a vent on co-workers thread and make it stick? all i need is my "father" sitting next to me trying to shovel religion. lets play name the "its" of all monotheistic faith.

  8. Im vanaman aka steve. Im a bonafide vw nut.

In june me and a buddy took the msf class and ive had the itch ever since to get a bike.

so in august i got a 78 cb750f. Ive riden a few times. but now it need the valves adjusted before i ride it anymore. so I might be done for the year.

    steve

hey there and welcome to the board. if you like vw, do you like audi or favor vintage vws? i rarely see any

Bugs in Ohio, but i remember growing up on road trips out west, time killers involved catching "bugs" on the road.

  9. When I was getting my mortgage my bank asked for the HR verification number, so I gave them the number for the service. They said "we're not paying to check, we need the name of a person"...

At this point I was quite annoyed so my answer was a bit rude. "I work for a multi billion dollar corporation, there isn't 'Jim' in HR I can give you to verify, either call the damn number or call my boss, you have both numbers" they called my boss.

I don't know why "employment verification" has gotten so difficult, "Does Matt work for you? Yes? Ok thanks bye"

as i came to find out, my old employer, the latimes and both jp morgan are clients users of this online verification company. i get there are many companies within each corporation and its all grey and convoluded. but that being said, they still would not move forward utilizing the service... why? bc chase hr hunters also use yet another 3rd party service for all the security/ verification needs. what you said, expressed explicity my conversation with the the head hunter yesterday. they handled it thank god and clearance is final.

  10. Kind of' date=' should be doing this already, though.... right?[/quote']

since our relocation, files from 2000 to at least 05 are in storage. i guess what i should have said was keep them at direct reach. at least i kept all my supervisors info completely current, despite job changes and retirements. i had that at least!

  11. Am finding out the hard way that corporate America's HR is no longer interested in simple employment verification tasks.... No instead it forces companys to pay fees now to get employment history verification on new prospective employees thru 3rd party services set up on the internet. Keep your W2's and references contact information current is my only advice. i won't ever forget this experience.
