  1. Pulled this off a jeep forum... first response to her question made me LOL!

    http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/96-jeep-cherokee-need-opinions-1149721/

is that what guys really want? their girlfriend under the hood with them??? wtf??? .... i cant speak on the money issue as she was his girfriend albeit. and the food well that is par for the course -- everything tastes better when someone else makes it for you. im certain of one thing -- i do not want my SO around me doing everything all the time and assume the likewise. There is "support" -- and then there is option two: healthy adults who have separate interests who compliment each other. i dont think if i were a guy that i'd be all that hot for her after she just spent two hours under the hood with me. :nono: thats just gross.

ok yeah it was funny though. all i see in my head is an image of alabama man.

  2. This seems to of gotten a bit out of hand with this guy don't ya think?

over the top yeah, but if you were listening to dave and jimmy tuesday morning, it was pretty cool as the calls from the west coast came in and hearing his story launch here locally for the first time. Anyone else up at the crack of dawn that morning?

im definetly not one to judge. i just hope he can keep his life together under the pressures of sudden fame and trully hope for his success.

but of course he will. he found jesus.

  3. Snopes as a resource is good to refer to. They are not 100% always correct. One example -- if you research "Disney", snopes denies any truth to the rumor that the VHS cover of the Little Mermaid had a phallic symbol hidden in the center. I in fact had this copy but never new it until i had a garage sale two years ago. The lady who bought it from me pointed it out after she paid me my $1 dollar!! Snopes claims this story false. Of course -- not all of the VHS copies of the movie have the graphic -- after Disney discovered it, they pulled the rest from the shelves.

  4. i grew up riding off road since i was six. Riding on road never interested me whatsoever. my husband however has a deep passion for it. after 3 little ones and years of worrying myself sick everytime he rode (and my own 38th birthday... hmmm??) my thinking started to change. i wanted to do something that we could share in interest in away and separate from the business of parenthood. it was a natural progression given my comfort riding off road, or so i thought.

im not sure i have found the bike for me yet. i have a cruiser -- not enough bike for me, and ride the superhawk -- a bike too much for me. i do know this -- i prefer a :bow:sportsbike over the cruiser but i also appreciate the option to ride either. :) we dont excommunicate the kids either.. they are included once in a while when we need the bikes cleaned.. little hands make it easy to reach those rough spots.. :D

not sure there is a poll choice for me up there. how bout an option for that realization that we only live life once and wanting to do something you'e only thought about without any actions behind it? .. but the grasping onto sanity choice would apply in all cases :santahat:

  5.-- got an installed new garage door opener which on another thread i think i voiced how happy i am with it

Also got a wool peacoat for the winter, and a new Droid Fascinate, but I'm still coming down off a Blackberry curve -- spending way more time correcting rather than "sending."

Saw a place in Dublin I have to try to breakfast on xmas vacation thou. Firstwatch? Reviews? Not trying to hijack :o

  6. Single-car garage. I park the 4x8 trailer behind the garage' date=' the 5x10 enclosed trailer beside the garage, the street bikes, scooters and dirt bikes inside the garage and the Subarus outside. My car has a block heater, so it ain't too terrible in the winter. That, and the "toasty-buns" button on the center console.[/quote']

im going to ask this despite appearing dense. i know what a toasty buns heater is :) but -- i dont know what a block heater is.

  7. The track itself is nice, but the facilities suck balls. Sitting in dirt, 3 port-a-potties for the whole track, shitty food concessions (both of'em) and some infamous traffic jams getting outta the place. Buffoons (SCRAMP) running the place. One of the shittiest race facilities on the GP circuit. Worthy of a third World country..but even they have better tracks.

Miller has to be one of the best tracks in the US right now. Can't wait to see the new GP track in Texas when it gets done.

the traffic on the pennisula blows. agreed. if you are into camping thou you can get some pretty views.

  8. I think 12 and under are free over 12 is adult price........ That being said why bring your kids? There is no real attraction or activity there for the kids at the show and you will not be able to join us at Buddy's after the show. To tell you the completely honest truth, we don't go for the show. The 30 or so of us that make this yearly trip to IMS do it for the party at Buddy's afterward. Leave the kids, book a room, PARTY with us.

I see your angle... Would love to go to buddys!.... and am grateful for the suggestion even! Heck that is the best option imo . However, always easier said than done.

I always take my kids to these type of places though. I brainwash them and hopefully one day they will appreciate it.

Who knows what will pan out... I might actually have to work an event that weekend, ironically up in Cleveland!
