what a dumbass. -
thank you AOW for affirmation on the lack of decent mexican. i make special trips to the el mercado off morse road just so i can pick up some decent carne asada! i know this sounds crazy but most of the so called earthquakes are rediculous, you dont even notice them. they run like three times a day they are so small. in hindsight, if you are on a fwy during one that at least clears 4.0, you only feel a little tickle in your belly for that "extra" air cleared and the kids are like "fun mommy!"

+2 -- too much traffic, and school buses on this road

what sucks is that fully geared riders on sportsbikes who actually avoid dangerous riding, end up getting HARRASSED by cops (as you both casually pass the dive bar full of hammered cruisers....) and then you get a gun pulled on you. so not kidding. im sure if i mention 33 south of cmh towards hocking, a hand full of you can guess where.... this from a mom who teaches her kids that firemen are gods and to respect law enforcement.

fantastic input on your company. u r very blessed. Ive taken an interest in nationwide but so far no contact... one of thousands i suppose!

Ive held-off accepting one job offer since Friday, and was offered another position after an interview today. I am not inclined or moved stronger towards one company vs the next but in terms of politeness, I personally owe a response to the former tomorrow. I did check out jobvent. Some of the replies are obviously erradic and filled with discontent. i think overall the site is likely set up just you indicated, to gage general satisfaction, corporate culture of said company, etc...
-
ur the 2nd or 3rd person whose told me about jobvent so i'll have to check it out. thanks!

my biggest fear is to land that job that plants my ever widening ass in a seat for 8 hours... interesting spin you pointed out on the small team spirit, so on and so forth. but i can see that easily happening -- ive been to the polaris complex a couple times and it is enormous. for a company that is doing quite a bit of hiring, my neighbors' dept is laying off not bc of lack of work but bc organizational restructuring, where positions r moving to new york...

what is the obsession with the gays? these gay comments just came out from nowhere.

very helpful reply in terms of advice on counter-offering a position. i have to "ask" as you say, but only because it's in my nature. there is a right way to do it and I like the way you spin it. it doesnt hurt to be humble when it comes to salary negotiation. usually hr reps encountering candidates with my background can expect it i suppose. you've been very helpful -- appreciate the reply!
-
wow -- didnt expect this response but i appreciate the info. my neighbor is an analyst making obnoxious money and talks about club chase but clearly she doesnt truly understand the nature.... she only mentioned the risque dress on that floor compared to her floor... my thoughts were she is just pissed she has to adhere to her new york boss' dress code policy as opposed to company-wide.
-
good luck your new position!
-
... more than what you expected? a goal to aspire to!! not many people can claim that. you must be some talent. thanks for the reply.

hi there! also a transplant, but been here over 2 years. im from corona. there's good and bad to both areas, and although we keep our place out west, Columbus is now comfortably called home. Welcome to the board! impressive ride/riding history!
-
welcome red -- hope you get that bike you are talking about soon. riding on the back only goes so far. at some point, a girl has to drive.

a friend of mine does work at verizon and loves it, all but the pay. salary was very low but the 8k a year toward Higher Ed is the kicker that made it worth it for him. i appreciate these responses and how quick they are coming it. its really good feedback.

a few changes suddenly in the last week for me.....ive had two job offers in the last 4 days and am on the fence. if you work for/have worked in the past, what is your experience as an employee? im only asking bc i know there are some company's here locally where the work environment is horrible and moral is very low. if i have a choice in accepting a position, id rather it be an educated one. ive heard good things about about a couple of these co's above. very good in fact. thanks for the feedback if you're at will to offer feedback, or if more comfortable -- pm is appeciated. also, in general -- has any one ever negotiated their salary with reasonable success? with the plethora of applicants out there right now, im not sure many are obliged to get lucky in that dept. now that i've tasted going back to corporate, i kind of want it more. -Thanks 2 all who reply.

shouldnt we get passed the SC game first? ive never experience college football in my life like when i moved to Ohio. the fall season with the football looming has its way of sucking you in. its very exciting. i know way too much about college football then a normal gendered female should but its kind of addicting. although my alum is UC, my heart is with the Oregon Ducks having spent a couple years there and loving the northwest in general. i'll be rooting for ohio but i have many many friends outwest who will be up very late this coming saturday. i wish i had tickets and a sitter!!
