  1. So it's no secret North Korea is trying to "stir the pot" as many of you say... on none other than our own independence day. Firing 7 short to medium range missiles off their coast in violation of their UN sanctions.

You can go to their "official" website and check out all the kool aid they're giving away for free!

    http://www.korea-dpr.com/60years.htm

I personally went with the Kim Jong Il desktop of him where he's still in his prime. You can always download articles about their 60 years of victory over the imperialist west, or "socialism will surely emerge" (they might be right on that one)

But I digress, so how would you prefer to celebrate your fourth? Send a few daisy cutters to North Korea and blow it up? Or just light bottle rockets out of a bicentennial bottle of mountain dew from 1976?

  2. What exactly is frivolous about ethics?

nothings frivolous about ethics, its the supposed "ethics" misconduct charges, here's a couple of the 18 such cases that were brought against her and dismissed.

"All the complaints have been brought by Alaskans, except for one filed by Washington-based Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics alleging the $150,000-plus designer wardrobe the Republican Party bought to outfit Palin in her national quest violated the Federal Election Campaign Act. That complaint was dismissed.

Another complaint, filed by Democratic blogger Linda Kellen Biegel, said Palin wore a jacket that promoted the sponsor of her husband's snowmobile racing team. That complaint, dismissed June 2, prompted Palin's statement about "frivolous" ethics charges."

Seriously? Can you imagine never being able to wear a motorcycle jacket cause you might be endorsing "Honda, Yamaha, etc.." I rest my case...

  3. I've gone over that scenario millions of times. The reason you carry is to protect yourself, but if something were to happen in a CPZ establishment, what would you do? I know that if my (or my families) life were in danger what I'd do. But I'd have to be ready to do some time in jail.

Best solution is to stay away from those places.

^^Agreed, but I'm gonna quote something I heard on "shooting from the hip" talk radio show a few weeks ago...

"I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6"

  4. how much do you want for it? I was just talking to my buddy today about how he missed his 04 sti and is wanting to buy another one... he traded it in for a trailblazer SS :( He's a member of nasioc I'll pass it along to him!

  5. Here's a pic from a ride back in may, a couple of us went to Youngs Dairy in Yellow Springs. Mine is the yellow and black r6 (as seen in my avatar)

ah had to delete this attachment so I could post a better pic in the next reply, gay gay gay that there's a limit on attachments

  6. Like I said, I'll either learn to carry the SP... it's bulky, but doable - or get something like an airweight or LCP if/when I decide to do the CCW. I'm just not sure how I feel about the .380 cal weapons. I'm probably better off with a small 9x19 for a CCW gun - I know the .380 ACP is close, but the prevalence of 9x19 makes it superior in my book.

if/when you decide to "pull the trigger" on buying another gun, check out the taurus 24/7 pro 9 mm... I use to use this as my carry gun before I got my glock. It shoots just as good as a glock IMO but not as expensive. Only reason I don't carry it is cause the one I had, had a grip reduction so it was too thin in my hands. Plus you can carry 18 rounds if you keep it chambered.

  8. call up State Farm

    Here is my agent....

    David Grant-614-262-1055

    35 a month for the zx10r.....

But we have our cars with them....multi poly discount...

I've heard that state farm makes you pay for the engine size not the classification of the bike, i.e. 600's are usually cheaper through them, even if its a super sport.

  9. It doesn't... I was correlating education, and in the higher income, I specifically said legal and health care - because many of the high income earners are CEOs, and big business guys are Reps. I posted that article on here in another thread, I just can't find it at the moment.

gotcha, well i'm off to bed... we'll have to pitch an idea for the 9 o'clock time slot to foxnews to replace sean hannity since "hannity and colmes" is no longer on and its just hannity. We could bring this fair and balanced wholesome goodness to primetime!

  10. Without a real in depth google search (I didn't check any sites beyond the first page), this seems to be the most credible source.

    http://dabacon.org/pontiff/?p=539

ehhh i know sometimes the more educated a person is they often have higher earnings... but I wouldn't say that it correlates wealth to voting tendencies. Because academia typically is liberal... Plus you have plenty of educated people like teachers (who are union workers) who make less than a lot of specialized technical careers yet vote democratic?

  11. here is the individual-level income/vote breakdown from exit polls for the 2004 presidential election:

    Income %R %D

    <$15K 36% 63%

    $15-30K 41% 58%

    $30-50K 48% 51%

    $50-75K 55% 44%

    $75-100K 53% 46%

    $100-150K 56% 43%

    $150-200K 57% 43%

    >$200K 62% 37%

In the article the guy does say he doesn't believe that the stereotypes are true from his studies but this study got him to think a little otherwise.

  12. Ummmm, any chance he'd do one for a couple of us Board members? OR just me :) I'd drive down to CBUS, payment cash or beer.

haha i could check and see... but we live closer to cincy than cbus so I'm sure it'd be a haul and its suppose to be 12 hours of "classroom instruction" that'd be one hell of a long weekend lol.

  13. lol thats funny, i think you're okay even if you get the swine flu, the media kind of "over played" its seriousness. I think its missing some proteins involved its replication mechanisms so it's not as deadly as some previous strains of the flu. And most people that die from it are already immunocompromised. Here's the study I believe?
