Dude, that's just cold!

Not scared of rain or wind. I'm scared of the other drivers. V strom does very well on wet roads, but you sport bike guy be carefull of the rain on the newly paved surfaces.

+1 I've split lanes twice, both times I was on rt33 near Marysville. First time was two cars doing about 55mph, one just passed the other, so I down shifted and shot through (maybe not real lane splitting). The last time I had a truck in the right lane and blocker in the left. I was directly behind the blocker with several cages coming up on my six repeatedly trying to push her forward to pass. I decided it was better for me to split the lane and clear the situation instead of having the impatient driver behind me rear end me. The truck driver knew what I was going to do and pulled right so I could have a clear shot out of there, I waved once clear and he tooted his horn. Old lady remained next to the truck for as long as I could see blocking the left lane slowing down when the truck would and speeding up when it would try to escape the situation. Not sure why rt33 near Marysville has been such a trouble area for me. Especially the section from 161 West towards Scotts Lawn Dr.

I'm still going to try and make it out. This Afternoon: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. South wind between 13 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Southwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Not bad for $700 I guess. If it gets you down the road and back it will be well worth the $$$$. Hard to see in the photo but hows the tires?

Told you I'd take the fun out of nothing!

Awsome? What's so awsome about guys in t-shirts, shorts and no helmet busting between cars at 70+ mph when half the drivers are imigrants who don't even have a license or a clue how to drive? Lane splitting is undefined in Ohio according to the AMA. It is supposedly kept this way so that officers have the ability to determine if it is being done dangerously and with disreguard for safety. In so much as traffic is at a stand still, supposedly a rider could ride between the cars at 5-10 mph to seek an exit ramp. I doubt any officer will cut you slack for busting between cars doing 55mph because you wanna do 85mph. Not that it is legal, but I will lane split if a situation becomes unsafe. Nothing like being stuck behind a driver who won't pass in the left lane and creates a line of frustrated cages gunning for top pole possition cutting eachother off and making dangerous lane changes. In that situation I have been known to make a run for the open road instead of remaining trapped in the I-70 version of death match 2000!

Actually any division by zero, to a mathematician, is simply undefined. Your example makes sense, but runs smack into the unyielding definitions of mathematics. Mathematicians it seems are not very flexible on this point. The definition of division states: a/b = c if and only if c x b = a. In other words, if you cannot reverse a division by multiplication it does not fit the definition. It is a problem. Division by zero fails the definition because, if b =0, then any c will do since b x c = 0 and you can't get back to the original, a. 4/0 = anything. Anything x 0 = 0 and we can never recover the 4, even if the answer were infinity, so division by zero is outside the definition or is undefined. As for 0/0, you can use any number for the answer, c, and it will satisfy the definition. You may say infinity, and I will say 11 43/52. Can we both be right? (infinity x 0 = 0 and 11 43/52 x 0 = 0) And anyway, isn't anything divided by itself supposed to equal 1?? Oh oh. Since the conflicts cannot be solved, division by zero is ignored as being "undefined". And in many cases it does violate the definition of division as we see above. Having said that, 1/x approaches infinity as x decreases to near zero, but if x ever exactly gets to equal zero, the answer becomes undefined. I figured I'd suck all the fun out of absolutly nothing by posting this!

I heard that was how she got her name? "Is your name Oprah? Yes, it is, good girl."

He looks younger than that. Good job getting a friend that needed a good home. Best advice after raising several dogs (2 dobermans, 1 dalmation and 1 Short hair German pointer). Advice: Be the Alpha male, ie. use strong voice commands to scold or control actions. Use soft and reassuring tones to praise good behavior or when showing affection. Dogs are like kids, they crave attention but need to be taught that misbehavior will not gain them attention. When being punished it is best to 1 scold the dog at the sceen of the crime, 2 ignore the pet for at least an hour, 3 find the pet an activity that is acceptable and reward the good behavior. How do you know if you are the Alpha? Sound stupid or wierd but if the dog will let you flip them over and press you face into their neck they view you as dominent. When dogs sit on you, won't move when you approach, or hog your spot on the couch you're the bitch. I hope you and your new friend will form a wonderfull relationship that last for a long time. As for a name, come up with a short list and call the dog by them. If it comes to a particular name or even reacts to it you'll have a winner since that name already evokes an emotional responce.

Yeah I have a couple nice pieces, problem is I like bikes better than guns. At least better than old guns.

One plus side to the ADV and dual sport bikes is that you can stand up on the pegs and still be in control. I find that when I am in a bad spot or low visability situation I get noticed much easier standing on the pegs. And if an officer gives me shit for it I'll fight it in court with video of off road riders in full control of their bikes while not on the seat! Something the AMA should consider supporting.

Know anyone looking for an antique mauser? 1887 JC mod 71/84 made in Amberg, $700.
-
I don't get the beginning of that one. He's honking at a bike behind him? Then he tries to cut her off wile texting but uses the turn signal? Then gets unnerved at the light and rolls up the window? AMA should stick with political activism and leave acting to someone else.
-
This is why God made horns on vehicles. It is a lost art for people to sound their horn when it appears someone is driving dangerously or not paying attention. I for one plan to bring back the sound of the horn to many who are trying to have conversations, texting or doing other things when they need to be paying attention. ***Honk if your paying attention***

+1 Glad mine is an 06'

Nice! That's not far from my GF. Maybe I'll pay her a visit?

Before the redesign the concourse 1000cc had a considerable following of ADV touring riders. I think just like with the redesign of the KLR more hard core riders found the off road side to be greatly deminished. I would have to say that in performance the only bikes I liken to the Strom DL1000 are the BMW GS1200 and KTM 990 ADV. The post 08' KLR650 is so similar to the DL650 it's scary. If the KLR was given a twin engine with no price change it would be the better bike for the price. IMHO
-
As a Strom owner I can say for what you pay, it's a great bike. I say this because there are bikes that go faster, bikes that carry more, bikes that are better looking but they all cost much more than the Strom. Kind of like the KLR650, it's not great off road or great on road but it will do both better than any other bike for the price.

You could always buy this... Believed to be Belguim made, 10 shot, pinfire, all parts work. Last verbal appraisal was between $3500 and $2500. And if anyone is looking for a cool wallhanger, I have an old double barrel Williams black powder shotgun for $250. Fully functional!

Wow...i doubt this would have happened under Pres. Bush

People in Troy are always trying to get out. Like I said this game can give people a reason to get out and ride to places they wouldn't usually go.... Or down the street to places they go every day. It all depends on where the next tag ends up and how adventurous others are about getting it.

Yeah, don't want your throttle hand to be slipping now do ya.
