  1. I'm posting this separately because it's short notice and a change in the schedule. There was only one taker for the advanced TTH ride for this Sunday the 18th. I now know why, there is a big DS ride this weekend. So this Sunday I'll host a beginners Dual Sport Ride around McArthur and Tar Hollow State Park area. This will be open to all levels of rider and will be gravel roads, single track, dirt road and obviously a mud hole or two. Recommended bikes will have minimum of 50-50 tires, enough ground clearance to ride over a street curb and not weigh more than you'd wanna pick up without help (help will be available). Please post up if you intend to come. We'll meet up at 10:30 at the gas station in Laurelville at the intersection of rt180 and rt 56, east of Old Mans Cave. Please wear gear as I am not a medic and bring something to drink as I'm not a beverage cart.
  2. Well, there is only one person signed up so far for an advanced ride so after asking him he said, "Why not do the beginner ride this weekend?" Any beginners wanna ride the Trans Tar Hollow this Sunday?
  3. How do you learn to do that? Is it just keep crashing till you get it right or are there training wheels? Very cool
  4. Tis the season for deer to be on the move. Glad you're okay. It sounds like mine was much smaller. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEERQtDX80g
  5. Here's an older shot from a ride in Tellico, TN back in 09'.
  6. Buddha is smiling? I have to say, he takes longer to get ready to ride than a 16yo takes to dress for prom!
  7. NICE! I like the use of the camera on a stick for quick movement.
  8. It makes me ashamed to be on Utube after seeing that crap. I'm surprised with all the computer savvy people on here there arn't more responses to this. Some mega cool graphics at least.
  9. I want my 60 seconds, it took to cancel the video, back.
  10. Really, no one else? Not even a cool photo?
  11. I think you should do a road trip next weekend. You can leave early Saturday morning, be there by 1 or 2pm. Ride all day doing the loop from the dragon to Murphy, NC, camp out in Murphy cheap, and head back Sunday slowly enjoying the back roads all the way up to Boon, then slab the rest on I71 at warp 7 speed.
  12. I'm interested to see what folks come up with. It can be a simple photo or a video. Here is my effort to make one for the KTM 950 SEr. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPdinKeEnNA or
  13. Too bad that doesn't work with girls, turn a 16yo around and she becomes a 21yo!
  14. Well there will be more rides. You can always come on the beginner ride, it would be nice to have experienced folks to help out picking up bikes.
  15. The first ride was a big success, thanks to all who came. Now it's the Advanced ride! It will use much of the same route but will also include some very challenging sections. So if your judge yourself to be a better rider than me you'll be okay. Date for the Advanced TTH is 9-18 at 10:30. Those confirming their intention to go will get a PM or e-mail of where to meet. These people get the first spots, Advanced Short list: MGorman Jrockrat JCMathis Cway? MTbiker FHC I hope to have an easy version within two weeks of the Advanced. As of now here is the short list for that ride with date TBD. Beginners short list: Speedy triple Jettn Jim BDmike
  16. It would help if we knew what they are going on. Some lights require a special base to fit against the bike like the Vstrom.
  17. Okay, I would like everyone to know just how crappy the video quality is before I post this. I can only hope someone gets a good laugh at the annotations in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gw5me6LSFWA
  18. Well it was a good ride and the weather was perfect. About 160 miles of what western oh would call twisty back roads with two gravel roads thrown in for shits and giggles. Meet up at Speedway Lunch The big three DS rides and a big rock.
  19. Well, 2 hrs to Columbus so your 1/2 an hour over average. Does that time include all the trailer maintance at the start?
  20. I can answer that question. It's around 7 hours if you don't speed to much and the RV's don't block you thru the hills too much.
  21. In the old days they'd take a pocket knife and just cut some new tread, I saw it on the fastest indian.
  22. Of the rain or calling someone a bitch? All this talk of rain makes me think your user name should have been rain man. I ride motorcycles, fast motorcycles, Judge Whoppner can't stop me, faster than cars, I get my bikes at walmart.
