  1. Now if we can just get you some editing programs so you can cut out the 9 minutes of video I slept thru. Looks good and the sound didn't have the wind sound my helmet cam does.
  2. All I know is at 40 yo I suddenly felt like the shit hit the fan. First I fall off a loading dock and get a herniated disc. Just as I'm feeling better from that I had a low side where my left leg got trapped under the bike breaking my fibula and tearing the ligaments in my ankle. So I'm told I need a plate and screws above my ankle to hold the bone in place while the ligaments heal. Then I get blood clots from the surgery, my blood pressure is way up because of my lack of physical activity and weight gain. Over a year later, diet and a strict physical fitness routine has gotten me back on the bike, off the blood pressure meds and feeling much better. So 40 sucked, but 41 is much better so far and the riding is more fun.
  3. Seriously, age has never been a factor on our rides. IQ is more important.
  4. Yeah, but are YOU riding in MY group?
  5. Common reasons I've dropped my bikes: 1. On side of hill, bike stalled 2. cross rutted 3. mud wasn't deep enough to hold up bike with me still on it 4. slippery rocks 5. so cold I couldn't move my leg fast enough when I stopped 6. shoe lace caught on peg (when I was a kid) 7. put foot down in slick mud or gravel and well..... it slipped 8. kickstand sank in the dirt, hot pavement, mud. couldn't get back to bike fast enough to save it. 9. bike was tired and needed a nap
  6. I already have a 35+ riding group, their called dual sport riders.
  7. Well, if you start rolling along at 55 and the trailer looks like it's going over rumble strips you'll know what to check first.
  8. It amazes me how prices have come down on generators. I was at HD the other week and saw a 6500 watt for only $700 or so. I think I paid over $1100 9 years ago for a 7500watt unit.
  9. They still need balanced even though they're for a trailer because they can cause vibrations that will make towing unstable.
  10. Why'd you keep hitting the horn when decelerating?
  11. Actually I'm just using a Nikon Coolpix camera I bought for $90 last winter. I like this photo http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j96/HunterKyle/DSC00202.jpg
  12. So he should yell, "I have a nice bike, will you fuck me?"
  13. Thanks, it seems the key is when the storm isn't over YOU. Otherwise you tend to get too much flash off the clouds.
  14. Kind of a part time hobby. Gotten some cool shots this summer. And you can do cool things with lightening shots!
  15. I use it all the time as I cruise around in my Lambor or F1. Then they see my face and the way I had to use a shoe horn to get 6'4" of me into the car and fall over on their bikes laughing. I have feelings too.
  16. Having a second bike is great because you can work on one and ride the other. No down time from riding.
  17. I did them for a while but found that like all gambling the odds are not in your favor and the bank will win. Now the only time i play is when I get them as Christmas or birthday gifts.
  18. Glad I don't drive that often in Cbus anymore. Sounds like he was being a total ass, can't say I would have blamed you to have just pulled off the side of 315 and wait till he left. Diffusing a situation like that is not easy and even harder to get away from on a busy road or highway. Glad you recognized the threat and took steps to avoid it.
  19. We all start somewhere. For me hands on with friends has been invaluable.
  20. Hiccups happen even on new bikes. If you can make some friends up your way with those who know MC mechanics and repair. It's worth the time to learn about that thing between your legs pushing you along for many reasons. I'm no expert, just a back yard fool with tools, so I've tried to learn from those who know. In doing so I have made myself a better rider, my bike safer and my rides more enjoyable.
  21. He's not the owner, he's just the punk ass friend of the crack dealer who weighs 500 lbs that does own it. At least the kid has the right gear on though
  22. Well, if you read the add it also says' it starts but won't stay running. So in my mind I calculated a likelyhood of at most $300 repair at a good shop and $1000 for gas to get it plus bike to be a $1300 learner bike. That's a cheap learner bike in my book. So I'll stop trying to help now, I can tell when I'm not wanted.
  23. Here you go under $1000, found on CL;) http://dayton.craigslist.org/mcy/2559609237.html
  24. I had a lot of spam e-mails when I sold an XT225. But got two honest buyers and sold it for what I wanted to one of them.
  25. One of them wasn't wearing his gear!
