Are you under 6ft? Then it might feel large. On the other hand I just saw this on CL DR350 in Columbus: http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/2580371864.html

We've got some local young ones who are learning to ride. Parents have got them some old 80 and 100cc pit bikes but NO GEAR. I am hopeing I can find someone with some old, no use to them, gear. most of all helmets. I wanna find 4-5 small or medium off road helmets for them. Anything is better than nothing in this case and it might just be the difference between a life of fun riding and a bad memory of how they got hurt. Let me know and I'll try to work out a time and place I can pick up what your willing to donate for them. Thanks in advance. Luke

I'm not a sumo fan so the CBR sounds like a better way to go. Easier maintance and parts will be easier to find.

Not a whole bunch of stuff in SW Ohio, but South on Loundenville and McArthur there are some decent areas. Actually the south end of Tar Hollow State park is all gravel roads as are many os the Sciota SP roads. You'd have to search google earth to see if there are any decent dirt roads near Eaton or West towards Indy. PS Don't forget to look for pre08 KLR's as an option for good on and off road machines for the price.

What about the KLR650, Versys, old NX250's, even the 250 Ninja can do gravel.

That would be a huge win for the drug trade and human trafficing.

Yep, the American dream. Freeload off the host and then claim you were there to help.

Wouldn't you call the cops if you saw her dumb ass with a gun?
-
I hope they get a fair hearing but I doubt they will if the news stays with the story so they can twist the truth.

Yeah, I'm sure his defense will be interesting. I posted this more because of the headline which according to their story wasn't why he was even pulled over. He just happened to have a firearm, but it was the wreckless opp that police stopped him.

GAHANNA, Ohio - Police on Wednesday released video of a motorcyclist who was charged with drunken-driving and carrying a weapon while he was intoxicated. Zachery Hammond pleaded not guilty to the charges and was scheduled to return to a courtroom later in the month, 10TV's Jason Frazer reported. Lisa Donahue said that she called police when she saw the motorcyclist driving erratically along Interstate 270. Moments later, she said she saw a gun poking out of Hammond's pants. "He was taking his hands off the handle bars," Donahue said. "You don't know what somebody is going to do when they're acting like that and I don't need my kids getting hurt." According to Donahue, Hammond and another motorcyclist were tailgating. Several minutes later, police caught up with the pair. They pulled both over and asked Hammond if he was drinking. Hammond denied drinking but when an officer asked him to count to 10, he failed the test, according to the video taken from the officer's dash cam. Hammond told Frazer that he has a concealed-carry permit and had not consumed alcohol in more than a month. "Since (the officer) said that he smelled alcohol, I didn't want to lose my concealed-carry, so I said, 'I'm not blowing.'" Brian Hoyt, a Gahanna city spokesman, said that Donahue did the right thing by calling 911. "If you see something, say something," Hoyt said. "Had that person not called, we may have not known that this person was driving erratically." Police said that they confiscated Hammond's gun and license until the case is resolved. http://www.10tv.com/content/stories/2011/09/01/gahanna-motorcyclist-charged-drunken-driving-gun.html

Well, people finally got me motivated to recontact elestrosport about the warranty on the stator I returned. They now say they can honor it and will take a look at the paperwork. So with luck I'll get a new stator installed, the bike will be 100% street legal again, and I can sell it for the money I have in the bike.

Ay over 6ft isn't everything under 300cc going to make you look "funny".

It's not perfect but using the axle bolt and two cinder blocks or similar pieces on the sides you can use the weigh balance method. Spin the wheel and use tape to mark the top when the wheel stops. Place a "stick on weight" under the tape to check if the added weight corrects the balance. Play with it till you are not stopping in the same spot each time. Probably 75% accurate if your bearings are good and there is nothing binding the tire from spinning freely. Apply the weights once your happy. On speeds under 80mph you'll never notice the difference.

Well, is gas come shooting out the tail pipe he'll know it's cleared the cylinders. Oh, and welcome to the madness.

After deciding to relive her youth Jenny forgot the issue of a little extra baggage she'd acquired along the way.

Thanks, it was bought and modified with the intent to make it my ultimate dual sport bike for rides around SE Ohio. If I hadn't bought the KTM 950se it would still be destined for that. But between the two the 950 is better suited for my size, riding style and ablilty. I used to joke the 426 was going to kill me with that MX throttle response that is like lighting a rocket! I guess it's worth mentioning that by GPS I've had the bike up to 75 mph in case someone wants for a sumo bike.

Stator issue fixed, brand new stator installed. Folks should have got it before, now it's a $2300 bike. Yamaha YZ426, street title, baja kit installed and works on battery, had to reinstall stock stator, starts and runs. Got this before the 950se due to it's superior suspension and torque. Rode it several times at Perry, Dayton Dirt Riders and McArthur. It is a beast and lifts the front wheel in 3rd! Had to reinstall the stock stator two years ago when the electrosport stator went bad. Little did I know electrosport went belly up shortly after and the company that bought them out never honored the warranty. Since then I've barely ridden it and have decided to sell it. Cleaned the carb and jets, put a new tube in the rear, will have new oil and filter in it in the next few days (extra filter comes with bike), air filter looks great, new grips and I have an extra dirt take off rear to go with the bike. So what's wrong? A slow leak oil leak that appears to be coming from the front sprocket gasket, there are typical scratches and faded graphics, patched tear in seat (see photo) and I've added some gear sticker bling. That's it! So it's a $1600 bike with a $600 lighting kit already installed, add a $200 stator and your totaly street legal. See the dark spot on the seat? That's the patch job. 6'4" me riding it into the pit on a track I was working on.

Why? Did you drop it? Is the foam inside totally compressed? I would rather have some cheap ass who won't spend $300 for a real helmet have something to slap on their head than wear a bandana. Obviously people are better off buying a new helmet that meets DOT and racing specs, but my old helmet is better than nothing.

Give them away to beginner rider who don't have one sell them in garage sale donate to good will use them as off road, road cones wear them in the car, provides amazing results in heavy traffic ( must yell "Toro, toro" for full effect) place on fence posts or on top of pumpkins as they grow ( most interesting effect with full face helmets.)

I bet whip outs would hurt a lot more.

I actually already had my endorsement, I just wanted the big insurance rate reduction. $25 for the class saves me $75 every year between the three bikes.

This weekend will be a good time to do that. The day I showed up it was threatening to rain so I figure a lot of people didn't show because of that.
