  1. I have 2 of them ( both propane)

If you have a 1 car garage the 35,000 BTU unit would heat it well with the tank from your gas grill. I would take $50 for it.

The other is a adjustable unit, 65, 85, or 100,000 BTU, it would heat a 2 1/2 car garage easily but you will need a 100lb propane tank to run it, just like the one in the photo. The big tank weighs 180lbs when full and the bigger unit makes a Hell of alot more noise. I would take $100 for it. I would sell the tank for another $100 and it has some propane (not much) still. You can purchase the tanks from Tractor Supply.

If your interested in picking them up all of this is at my office in Barberton (close to Akron) or I could haul it to my house near New Philadelphia.

  2. I have the direct lift pro cycle model from Greg Smith

I got the extensions with mine and have never used them once in the 8 years I have owned it. If your willing to drive to Indy to pick 1 up you can save the shipping charge.

I painted mine white to help reflect some light back up on whatever I'm working on.

  3. If I was in the market for something that size I would spend $500 more for the Suzuki TU250X and be more confident in making it to my destination.

The Chinese are getting better but still have a ways to go before getting anywhere near the quality of the Japanese or European offerings. Harley laughed at Honda in 1969 when they released the CB 750 and by 1982 Harley would have been out of business if Uncle Sam didn't step in and bail them out and put tariffs on import bikes over 700cc's.

  4. "Model Rockets" can be much larger than some of you are thinking. I was just at a launch in South Charleston, Ohio this past weekend for a launch and the model pictured in this sequence is 8' 4" tall.

That flight went to just over 12,000' and we have a FAA waiver to 18,000' at that location. Now you can't just go and set these types off in your backyard and you must be certified by either of 2 national organizations just to purchase the motors for that type of flight. Up until last year you needed a federal explosives permit to purchase/store/use them.

The event in CA was probably a classified target test missile launch from San Nicolas Island.

Target test missiles for the ABL Tests are launched from there, as are target test missiles for the Alaskan GMD Tests.

  5. If it's just a upright piano get 3 of your friends and pick it up. My Bosendorfer Imperial 290 took 9 of us to carry in my new house when I built it in 2004 and that fucker is not moving again. It weighs about 1,300lbs and is 9'6" long, a upright piano is a piece of cake to move.

  6. If your serious about launching your own balloon project here is some info

I can build the recovery system for anyone wanting to make a attempt. My day job consist of design/engineer, & manufacture recovery systems for projects like this.

I make recovery systems for the hobby high power rocket community as well. This is my 6 year old daughter next to one of my own rockets.

Here it is on the recovery phase.

Just for reference 100,000' is not even close to outerspace, the official barrier is 73 miiles (385,440')

  7. Jimmy Jarrett will once again be representing the USA in this years ISDE event in Mexico. He receives little to no money to attend this event and there is zero money to be won, it's just a race for pride.

Jimmy is a amazing rider and he regularly races at WRMC in all events.

  8. This is a friend of mine wrist after clearing a 86' jump then collided with 2 dipshits having a chat on the tranny. This happened that last weekend in June and I think he just had his 5th surgery to repair his wrist and should be back riding around April of next year.

Make sure you have good medical insurance if you ride off road or on.

  9. You might want to look at a Suzuki DRZ400, it's a much better dirtbike than any of the other 650's and has a pretty good track record for reliability. I'll guess your uncles bike is the L model instead of the R model? There is a Hell of a difference between the 2 and the R is much more capable off road.

If your not concerned with street legal and just want a good all around dirtbike you might want to look at a KTM 300 EXC, it's a 2 stoke but it doesn't have that explosive hit of a MX bike and makes great power at all RPM's. Maintenance wise a 2 stroke is also much easier & cheaper to work on V 4 strokes.

  10. Good ride with no cops or drops. I did take a few pics along the way.

Underway on 212. There is a guy on adv rider that takes some amazing photo's while riding, I'm still working on my technique and I find it pretty difficult with a SLR camera.

    Rest stop in Amsterdam

I did ride 542 on the way home and it is NOT chip & seal, it is prime asphalt so we could have rode it as well. This is right before you get into Dellroy.

  11. and i think fox is more familiar with the 164 area. so leaders may switch unless i'm too slow for him... :)

What ever speed you go is fine with me from 30 MPH to 130 MPH, every group ride I've been on this year I've conned into leading so this 1 I plan on riding at the back. I'll even ride sweep so if anyone falls back I'll be able to get them back to civilization.

For any of you coming down from the North slow your ass down when you get to Portage RD, that is where the 55 MPH zone starts and Canton city has been running heavy patrols on the interstate. The have at least 1 BMW police bike so keep you eyes open for them. With Hall of Fame week about to kick off that wont help matters.

  12. He's lucky to be alive, I knew of a guy who tried that in Alaska and it didn't end so well for him. On another note I've been trying to photograph a bear in Ohio for about 16 years with zero luck so far. One was struck by a car and killed near Alliance about 1 1/2 years ago. If anyone has a any leads let me know.
