  1. I might see some of you guys there, the owner of Beans has kidney stones now and will be closed for the weekend. I will probably be at the MX track though just shooting photos. The track at Crow is pretty tame so I have no interest in riding it. I'll probably just ride my Zuma scooter to the track.
  2. Rotella is now JASO DH-2,MA rated now, whats that mean?,, it's safe to run into your motorcycle and meets all warranty requirements. Personally I use Mobil 1 15W-50 car oil in all my 4-stroke bikes and I have a oil analysis performed on all of them at least 1 time per year here http://www.blackstone-labs.com/ The 1979 XS1100 I just gave away has 217,000+ miles on it using Mobil 1 and it's still running strong. The only 2 stroke engine failing's I've ever experienced was from using SCAMSoil 2-stoke formula after running out of Klotz. 1 was a 73 Kawasaki H2 750 ( oil injected) and the other was my KTM 500cc MXC premixed. I personally would not run Amsoil in my lawn mower but others here seem to be having good luck with it.
  3. http://www.ktmamerica.com/ This is Holeshot racing in Akron http://www.ohiomotorcycle.com/new_vehicle_list.asp?sid=09212X4K15K2010J10I45I13JAMQ2213R0&Manufacturer=10&Category=1&CatDesc=Motorcycles This is Cleve/Akron Honda but they stocked KTM street bikes as well last I was in there.
  4. A valve adjustment on a ZRX is about as easy as it gets ( besides Screw & Locknut) shim over bucket. It takes me 1 1/2 hour start to finish including a carb sync.
  5. Yep, I was just there Sat morning purchasing fork oil and I seen 4 of them coming out of the woods.
  6. I'll be 6 miles away from you at Beans http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=370190542711 The MX track at Crow is pretty tame but I'm sure the trails are better there.
  7. Crow Canyon is 3 miles from my house, they do have plenty of trails and they use to hold GNCC races there and maybe they still do. I'm only familiar with the MX track though so I can't provide any insight as to what the trails are like. There is a small shop on sight ( Action Extreme Sports) so if you forget something or have a problem they can probably help you out. There are plenty of places to eat and amenities right outside the gate, Wendy's, McD's, KFC, Taco Bell, drive through for beer or other drinks, and gas stations.
  8. Just to update Justin and his brother picked up the XS today and they just had to have 1 of those high off the ground Dodge pickups. I have a pretty long ramp but it did take all 3 of us to load the whale up. I hope he enjoys the bike and gets some use out of it for sure.
  9. Dustin is making arrangements for pick-up so it is his. Back to your regularly scheduled thread now. Dustin I'll call you tomorrow if you can give me a time to call convenient for you.
  10. Dustinkz1000 has first dibs followed by yotaman88210 let me know Mark
  11. You got a truck? I have a ramp but it weigh's around 700 lbs, bring a friend, all my neighbors are retiree's or fucktards. No you can't work on it here but I do have a factory service manual for it and I think a spare set of new spark plugs as well. I'm close to New Philadelphia and I'll be working from home all week. There is a place to notarize the title a mile away so PM if you really want it and when you want to come and get it. I just took this 1 so here is what it looks like now and it literary has not moved in 2 years but has had a battery tender on it the entire time. In fact that is the last time I rode the thing when I put a new battery in, took it to the gas station to fill it up ( yes it has stabilizer in the tank) then I parked it.
  12. I currently have none for sale but somebody is always trying to sell me another. I am thinking of giving away my 79 Yamaha XS 1100, nothing is really wrong with it it has just been sitting for 2 years because I never really liked riding it and it get extremely shitty gas mileage ( average around 30mpg) The fueling system is a absolute nightmare on this thing with 2 petcocks with fuel & vacuum lines running everyplace. I'd rather do a Honda V4 valve adjustment than rip into this things fuel system again. Current mileage is around 217,000 miles ( yes 217,000 miles) and it's had Mobil1 synthetic since new. I knew the original owner very well and he rode the shit out this thing before getting something smaller and easier for him to handle. It's the black bike on the left in this photo. Any takers??
  13. For a short time I had these 5 stuffed into a 1 car garage and had 6 more at friends homes across the area. I was finishing a total remodel of my current house and the garage there was full of building materials. I currently own 17 motorcycles and many of them are still kept with friends.
  14. I noticed this on your link "We ship most orders out within four weeks." I just mounted these from Dennis Kirk @ $20 a set and I had them in 2 days. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/product.jsp?store=&catId=411&leafCatId=41103&skuId=214514&productId=p214514&mmyId=
  15. They had a pretty good turn out for the middle of the week and I could not stay to long because I have a ton of work to do at home. I plan on being there again on this Sat.
  16. I'd rep you for the Radiohead tune in the video as well but you know how that went...
  17. ^That is another correct statement. To even suggest that those pads were worn or "timed out" is a total 100% Bull Shit comment. Not so? Then why didn't they catch it at tech or ask "are your brake pads more than 2 years old?" I applaud VW for warning the rest of us that Carbone Lorraine makes shit pads and you should report it to the consumer products safety commission before someone is seriously injured or killed. Can you imagine the consequences if that would have happened at some place like road america at the end of the long straight following another rider closely?? Anyone group riding would be wise to ask who is running Carbone Lorraine brake pads then make sure they are not following you.
  18. http://www.aerostich.com/stopper-led-brake-light-stopper.html That is 1 style there but look around as they have a few more.
  19. From his info he has a 2000 VFR, V-Tech didn't come till 02 on that model when they switched from gear driven cams to chain drive as well. I still would never touch a V4 Honda regardless..
  20. You might try contacting Hoblick here, he has a couple of VFR's and he works on his own stuff so maybe he can do it for a decent price as well.
  21. Thats what the passenger ( navigator ) is for. If you search youtube for onboard stuff you will see the navigator with his hand out front "sweeping" either Left or Right to let the driver know what way to turn next. It's kinda like WRC where they do the same thing through a radio system. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGzKcypnBlA
  22. Jet refers to the drive system, think JetSki. Art Arfons is from Akron,OH and his son Craig was killed in a water speed record boat in FL.
  23. Some Kawasaki's have a positive neutral finder and will not shift beyond 1st gear unless the bike is moving. I'm not sure if your specific bike has this feature or not.
  24. Great racing for sure. My only question is when did Suzuki wake up and start building hardware that could compete in the world scene?
