^ I'll get the WR out
- 1

I don't know what cintas cleans clothes in, but they always get the oil smell out. So it can be done
Truth. The only thing they haven't removed from my work pants, is paint

Not bashing ya, but you're blipping to unload the trans to make downshifting easier. You're not rev matching the engine RPM's to your rear wheel speed necessarily. That's what the slipper gives you, the ability to let the engine and rear wheel temporarily disconnect allowing for higher wheel speed without blowing up the engine.
Absolutely. Has nothing to do with the slipper. I just from reading what the OP said it sounded like he was just clicking down gears and now rev matching or "blipping"
I guess I would just assume one would use a slipper as an insurance policy Incase you went a gear too far on the downshifts.
-
My new to me bike has a slipper clutch. My first day at mid ohio I was just letting the clutch out slowly between gear changes. But I am starting to think I should have also blipped the throttle.
How does everyone else downshift with a slipper?
I've never used a slipper, but I always rev match on downshifts

Snow flat track racing!!

I think the Mutt would be bored out of his mind on a 250. That's why I threw the 690 out to him.
-
Yep. I wear my Canari shorts on the motorcycle. Well, I used to. Now that my ass is as hard as diamond plate, it's not a problem to ride 500 miles in regular compression pants.
I've contemplated swapping my Corbin for a carbon fiber bicycle saddle.
Get a super moto and that's about what the seat is LOL!
-
I think if I was going to get anything High Vis it would be a Helmet.
I had big plans to buy a shoei qwest in hi- viz this winter and it seems they have discontinued it in the high viz color
-
Thanks, I'll try these.
I currently wear the LDcomfort ones, which work well, but these look a bit better.
Man, I've tried and tried to like my LDs and I always come back to the trusty chamois cycling shorts instead!

There you go bro! Sumo for the sammich maker
-
Found a Ktm 690smc on supermotojunkie.com, in Akron for 7k
-
I think I just need some more seat time and I'll be there. This was only the second time I've been there.
-
You and me both! I've heard there's some fast bastard running 38's on an aprilia sxv.
My goal next season is 39's at G&J. I'm changing my bike setup, hopefully for the better, this winter.
Funny you mention him. I hit him up yesterday to see what kind of lap times he was running there. 38s , is flat out rolling. I'd be pretty happy if I could get the WR into the 43s. For a dual sport based platform, I think that would be pretty respectable
-
Sounds like a plan to me! =)

I agree, kickstands gotta go! I'd like to be a bit more consistent too. Had a buddy click off some times and I was running high 45s-46s at my best. Some much worst. Need more seat time.

Couple videos from the kart track yesterday...
Facing me- I kind of like this , so I can see my body position (head and shoulder)
Fun little swing arm mounted action. Kind of neat to see knee down, and chain and suspension work
And your typical- buddy of mine on a drz wanted some footage of him riding , so I followed him a bit
-
Bummer. It was worth a shot
-
is the dent something, that a painless dent removal guy could get out? I've seen some pretty amazing stuff done via paint less dent removal.
-
An fjr is on my bucket list of bikes. Very nice
-
I bet that r1 was a handful on that track! Probably fun in the same! Good riding. I'm feening some sumo track time bad.

thank you for your insight. I may need to go to the range and rent one. I've been carrying my XDS 9mm, but really like the kimber platform.
-
Current Rig is a Kimber Ultra CDPII in a Bianchi leather IWB holster.
How do you like that Kimber? I've often drooled over those , but never "pulled the trigger" .... Don't mind my bad puns.
Best cover ever? Quite possibly.

Well that made my morning coffee a bit better!
