Ivan Houpe stole the bike that he sold me. Last I heard he was still in the 161 area but stole bikes up north. TBest I can figure he stole: Black CBR 1000RR, Red 06' GSXR 600, 02'ish F4i, 07' black GSXR 750 and the 04' GSXR that I 'purchased' I don't know if that name rings a bell for anyone. Its a long fucked up story but I bought a bike from him that I thought was legit, turns out when I went to sell it that the original owner came to buy it! Now I'm out $4,000...
If anyone has further information on this or thinks that one of these bikes might be theirs please get in touch with me.
so how did he do the title if the bike was stolen? Is this guy making new titles too?

+1
Just wear some eyewear/sunglasses or have the visor down when your riding.
i wear regular eye glasses and was stopped last night, for having my visor up. they were not "dot" approved eye wear"

i tried to show him the big M under endorcements and everything I thought it was crazy. I told him all the novice thing means is that i have to wear a helmet for a year,( and besides id ride with a helmet regardless of how long id been riding) but he just went on his whole speil about how novice meant it was my permit and, he kept rambling off the permit rules.

Tonight after I left bike night at quaker steak and lube and were going down col. glen. There was a "team mullet" drag bike in front of all of us. I think it was a suzuki gs1000. great looking bike. anywho, I was riding along at the very back of the pack doing like 35. and passed a fairborn police officer. and some guy on another bike takes off and does god knows how fast. im still just cruising along. next thing i know im getting pulled over! He tells me hes pulling me over for having the visor up on my helmet, and not having saftey glasses. I suppose its legit, thats the law. I wear regular eye glasses, but thats not good enough. He takes my licences and comes back and tells me I need to get home its almost dark. I ask him what that has to do with anything and he told me that my licences says novice. that means i cant ride on the highway, after dark, with a passenger, and whatever else the laws are for a permit. He continued to tell me that i just had my permit and did not have my motorcycle endorsement. I showed it to him on my licences, and even showed him my card of completion of the MSF course(grantid its just a peice of paper and doesnt mean much) but it got me my endorcement.Needless to say i just got a warning, and told to get home because it was almost dark, Is this kind of stuff common practice out of fairborn officers to not know what the rules are on such subjects?? If so I dont think I will frequent bike night as much as planned.

Thats a bit much. I know many drivers and none are lazy, they are drug tested constantly and they drive their asses off. They do, however, put down a few beers in the off time, but dont we all?
Sorry this happened to you s-13, glad it wasnt more serious. I'm sure the driver was as freaked out as you. Hope you heal quickly and get a sweet ass new bike.
i agree, that is a bit much. I personally am a CDL driver and im the furthest thing from lazy, never done drugs and would never get into a truck after even a beer. just like my bike.
-
yea i'm still building it. there is a build thread somewhere on ohiominitrucks.com but i haven't done much with it lately.
awesome. I got rid of mine last october. I traded the it for my bike. I did a v8 swap on it, and quite abit more after you saw it. Getting rid of it was the best thing I ever did. The v8 swap was the worst thing I ever did.

also what are your guys oppinions on running mixed tires? for example the m3 on the front and the bridgestone on the back? the front is a 120/17/17
-
its the 16. I have gotten less than 3k out of my metz and im almost to the wear line. I dont know how much longer they are good after you hit that line. what do you guys think? What tires do you guys suggest? I want something that wears decent but also grips nicley for spirited riding.

theres a group of three of us going at this point!
-
I can mount and balance for you. Might be able to get a decent deal on a set too...
what kind of deal can you get on the battleaxes? supposidly they last longer with the dual compound. the m3s are really really soft.
-
well ive been looking at getting the bridgestone battax 16s and getting away from the m3s all together. was thinking about going to iron pony on saturday morn.
-
ive got 160/60/17s. i wonder if the 180/55/17 would work for now?
