  1. No, to me you sound like an 18-21 year old kid who doesn't want to listen to some more experienced people.
  2. Led removal may not be so simple for some folks, most people look for a fairly stock bike so they know its not hacked and cobbled. I've seen electrical harnesses all cobbled up just over a previous owner trying to install turn signals . I'm not saying your price is out of line. You seem to be new to the motorbike game and don't appear to want to take ANY advice from older , more experienced members. Put it on Craigslist and hope it sells.
  3. Farkles don't add value. Period. Just because my fz1 has 2k worth of suspension work, doesn't mean it's worth 5k. It's still worth 3000 bucks. Led lights and reflective strips and all that would just be shit I needed to take off. Anymore due to past experiences , I wouldn't buy a bike that's not stock for the most part.
  4. Coil or carb. I've had saws run fine until they get hot and Once they cool down, good to go again. Coil fixed them.
  5. totally missed your comment. We can go shoot anytime you'd like I cleaned the striker assembly up today, it was kind of gummy, Hopefully this solves my problem.
  6. zip zero zilch. Nada. No chance what so ever. That guys is faster than I can even begin to think about being. I've seen it with my own 4 yes. Yes he could put a hurting on you with his scooter even. I'd throw 100 on it. They call him turnone for a reason. You never see him again after the first turn. I've seen him pass cbr 1000s on the scooter...
  7. I did. i just finished cleaning the coffee up that came out of my nose when I read it!
  8. I'll try one last time. Heres a gen 1 fz1. It has 3443 miles on it. for 4000. Its in columbus. Go buy it. be happy. http://yamahafz1oa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128617 scroll down for pics. Ill post the info 2002 Yamaha FZ1, blue, 3450 miles, excellent condition. Yamaha touring screen, Yoshimura exhaust installed, comes with the stock exhaust and manual. Runs perfectly, brand new battery installed. I did my SS1k on this last summer flawlessly (sig). $4000, might consider trade for a small street legal dual sport, KLR250, NX250 or the like, or an early SV650, Hawk GT, or CB1
  9. They have been using them on the bmx track as a training tool for young kids, getting them comfortable with rolling up and down the jumps and down the start ramp. I think they are a great idea.
  10. agreed. That toolbag didn't earn that uniform. He has no reason to be wearing it.
  11. IMHO, in a season you won't be happy with those. I'm still voting standard seating position. Even more so if your going to have a loan on the motorcycle. It sure sucks to decide you don't like your bike anymore, and have a loan on it.
  12. My wife and I are planning a vacation , and are looking at top sail or outer banks. Anyone ever go? Good places to stay ?
  13. Don't let those carbs scare you. Mine are ivanized and are smoother than my triumphs fuel injection was. I love the carbs. I don't even need the choke. Three thumbs of the starter an she purrs like a kitten, everyday.
  14. Mines first gen, that's second gen. Both are great. Coming off an sv , IMHO, I feel mine would scare the pants off of you the first time you cracked into it. It's 136 rwhp and 73 ft lbs of torque. Under 7k the bike is incredible in town and just to cruise. Wanna play? roll the throttle alittle more and hang on.
  15. I polished the feed ramp and changed my grip and that seemed to take care of the FTF/FtE issues. Google tells me ruger uses a ton of grease in the striker mechanism and the slide needs disassembled and cleaned. We shall see!
  16. I love this thing, except for one thing. I ran 130 rounds through it tonight and had 10 light primer strikes. Any ideas ?
  17. I love this thing, except for one thing. I ran 130 rounds through it tonight and had 10 light primer strikes. Any ideas ?
  18. I'm going to run 100 rounds through mine tonight. I'll report back!
  19. I'm in the midst of restoring a 59 vw dune buggy , that belonged to my wife's grandfather. I've take about a year break. Be prepared to have it consume your life. It's fun, I've built/ helped build multiple cars. Don't cut corners don't rig things and say you'll fix it later. Just do it right the first time.
  20. If one were to make up some steel pistol targets, what's the general consensus on how thick to go?
