Well I went with red wings. Curiosity got the best of me. As long as I have worked in a shop environment , older guys have raved about them. I decided on the 2202 steel toe. Made in the USA( with imported materials of course). I will post pics and do a reveiw , to see how long these things last.

I don't know if door to door meat sales is something that was done back in the day , but the whole concept seems shady. They could freeze road kill chunks and you'd never know it until you thawed it out and suddenly had rodent goo on your counter...

The vasque line looks very nice. I think the thermal line would be great in the snow plow. Unfortunately for daily , I need something that sparks and welding and mowing and and digging and asphalt work, won't hurt. I work for local gov, and do a little bit of everything.

I wear my boots all day, everyday, even most weekends. The wing store called a few minutes ago and said the boots were on back order until mid- late August. Bah. Back to square one. I have Rockies that are falling apart and are currently shoe gooed together

The ones I ordered are still USA made. I made sure of it. I've never heard of thorogoods. I will have to take a look

I just bought some redwings , they should arrive next week. I bought the 1102s. They lady at the store was very helpful. I will say their sizing is alittle strange. I wear a 10 in everything. I put their boots on and 10s were like clown shoes. Ended up with 9s. I have tried every boot manufacturer I could find locally-rocky, Carolina, Justin, they all broke down relatively quick. The Rockies sole same off. Twice. The first pair were replaced under warentee. We will see how these red wings do. I hope for 220 , they don't let me down.
