  1. I love that place. I've been a member for quite sometime now. Who played baby sitter? Hell , whos your dad ?
  2. I'm not sure my sexual preference had anything to do with my headlights....
  3. I was looking at ddm-tuning. Apparently its just cheap kits that work this way.
  4. One kit in particular I was looking at mentioned that a switch was provided for high and low beams, which in my mind renders my oem switch useless. I don't like that idea. I like everything to function as if it came that way. Can anyone elaborate on this? Ive heard some guys mention they don't need high beams bc the lows are so bright, but once again then a feature from the factory is no longer available.
  5. Just like the title says. I'm debating swapping to HID . School me.
  6. Pretty slick! I may have to follow suite on that!
  7. Yup they are black now, just Stanley L brackets from lowes, drilled out it accept the stud. I used black tape to form a " boot" on the back side while I search for a rubber boot.
  8. I looked at those myself, decided to try my cheap route first.
  9. I looked at these as well, but 100 watts put a hurting on the fz1's charging system. Mine are only 1.5 watts each.
  10. hell for those prices, I may switch my truck over as well.
  11. so the way I understand this, this is the kit I need? http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-35W-55W-Dual-Motorcycle-HID-Kit
  12. Be careful at haspen. Lots of drinking, riding, drinking. I was there a few years ago and between all Crap that was being used to play in the dirt( they let anything in). It wasn't exactly a pleasant experience.
  13. Just until they are soft. Buy them fresh, still hard. Slice them in half sprinkle sugar on them and you have an appetizer.
  14. My homemade kit all finished up Just the running lights
  15. Actually... Now that you mention it... I am doing the charcoal grill thing tonight. Chicken breast, injected with stubbs Texas butter, along with onions , red, yellow, and green peppers, and sweet taters.> pics to come!!
  16. I just need to get headlights to back the aux lights up now! I really dislike the idea of HID's because I always hear of issues with the ballast's going bad. It would be terrible to be in the middle of no where and have your ballest go bad.
  17. i did about 50 miles with them tonight and I am more than happy with them.
  18. my bike is set up to use the stock turn signals as running lights, so I tied these into the third wire on the turn signal(that wasn't being used due to aftermarket signals). I may go back and change it and put them on a switch, instead of always being on, but we will see.
  19. the box was pretty generic, but they have an aluminum body, and seem to be very well made. Heres a pic of the box. I purchased them from her. I will see if she will give up her supplier. theres a part number on the front of the box that reads DCD01, and I have googled and googled and I can't find her supplier. EDIT: FOUND THEM! http://www.ebay.com/itm/4x-Car-Motorcycle-White-1-5W-LED-Slim-Eagle-Eye-Daytime-Running-Light-Screw-DRL-/200810633616?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ec13f1990&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190709732567#ht_6011wt_902
  20. Back while we were at deals gap, I met a fellow fz1 rider whom had an amazing headlight setup. She had an HID set up of some sort but she also had some fork mounted aux lights. I inquired on them, and a few months later, here we are. These things are the size of a nickel, they are LED and work wonderfully. no headlight from behind the light. Best picture I could get. Doesn't really do justice.
