  1. I was going to plastidip the wheels on the colorado a few months back and opted not too. Apparently it leaves a rubbery feel to it, and doesn't wash well. Another thing I had read was that goo gone will actually remove it. So if you do wash it, you probably want to be very careful to pick a cleaner that will not remove the dip. I never did come across anyone who had done it, and completely removed it, so I don't know how well it removes.
  2. I love the "I knew that was gonna happen!",
  3. Fz6r has adjustable seat height!! I've seen this great little bike in action! Bump for good people and a nice bike!
  4. I've been there ! Love the area and that particular cruise in.
  5. Fz1 / end of story ! Kidding. Ride what you like.
  6. I rode 555 a few years back and didn't care for it much, but its certainly better than the roads I have around my house! First few passes slow, is always a good idea on any road!
  7. beautiful motorcycle. I'd love to have it in the stable.
  8. I don't know if your 400ex has any jet work done, but going to a size 42 pilot jet took care of my cold blooded issues.
  9. I've got a 99 400 ex, you can find them relativly cheap, and newer version's have reverse. Mine does not. They are rock solid , cheap and easy to maintain.
  10. Thank you. I don't like to put myself in a position for people to say " I told you so" , but the day I met her 4 years ago, I knew she was the one.
  11. I started reading and waiting for it... And it never happened!! Slacker LOL
  12. All my toys are still in the garage. Didn't sell anything. No way . Your buddies got the wrong woman.
  13. I rarely ride it in town! You'd never see it. The plus to me having it, is that you could come ride it when you wanted too...
  14. I love your bike. I wish I had the spare cash. I'd rock that to work every day!
  15. I'd rock that back and forth to work for sure.
  16. I had one of these for my first bike. Rock solid. Mine was a 96 also, with 43,000 miles on it when I sold it. The regulator/rectifiers are junk. They are plastic and don't have any heat sinks on them. I would check into that if it had a battery issue. It was pretty quick, and handled decent. I really enjoyed mine. I can post a few pics if you'd like. As far as the carbs go, take lots of pictures, use bike bandit for diagrams, and be as careful as you have ever been. cbrforum.com's f3 section was gobs and gobs of help to me.
