  1. Heres my dilemma, The Fz1 came with a really cool leo vince high mount. I occasionally ride two up, and would like to run luggage. The high mount doesn't allow any of this. I contacted Leo and they no longer produce exhaust for my bike. So, I have an excellent sounding muffler, and no mid pipe. I've attempted to trade the entire exhaust via fz1forum and yamahafz1oa, with no luck. So heres where I am Option 1 I have talked to an exhaust shop and they are more than willing to make me up a pipe for really cheap, but I will loose the spring connector from the muffler to the midpipe, and there is also a stop on the exhaust for my center stand, to keep it from hitting my rear set. option 2 I have pondered cutting the mid pipe off my stock exhaust and making it work with the leo muffler, problem is, I'm out stock exhaust if I were to need it. option 3 You guys fill in the blank on your thoughts.
  2. I've been there too! Heres my best advice. Take one part; for example the engine. lay it out on the bench, and do everything for the engine. Once the engine is done, proceed to the frame, chassis(suspension, whatever else) just take it one piece at a time. Take your time, and be very methodical about your work. Check specs, notes, multiple times, and follow service manuals to a T. Take tons of pictures, make a project thread. Just go step by step. It will take time, but it will be very rewarding in the end. Especially the first time you crack into that 2 stroke and the front end comes up!

  10. I like my Corbin to an exent. It keeps you off the tank, and gives you a lot more leg room. The downside is that its just alittle too firm, and a tiny bit too wide. Your welcome to sit on mine sometime, if you'd like to try it out.
  11. I know the Honda maintainance interval is 16k, but track use is certainly harder than street in most cases. Might be worth checking them, but I'm guessing they won't need done. Maybe air filter and spark plugs.Aside from your typical oil change I would say your probably good to go.
  12. Wouldn't hurt to check them, but what I have found is that they typically don't need done. If they need done, its a good idea to get them adjusted. How many miles are on the bike ?
  13. Thank you to you and your daughter! Glad you had a safe trip and the bike ran well. Did you do all that on a stock seat??
