asphalt is a strange beast. Once its cooled and re heated its very easy to tear it up (i.e somthing as easy as your motorcycle kick stand sinking in on a hot day) Setting fire to an asphalt road will very easily tear it up, just letting traffic drive over it while its still hot, Let alone doing burnouts and all other types of nonsense these guys perform. If you look at asphalt even where there has been a car fire, it will certainly cause that asphalt to sink or settle more, causing cracks. EDIT: After reading the article and hearing they had to mill the road in that spot, im not suprised by any means of 15k worth of damage. To have a milling maching come in and mill a section is very expensive. I belive the local asphalt companys around here charge around a 1000 set up fee just to bring there equipment in and get going.

I know its been awhile, but I found a droid app I really like called runkeeper. www.runkeeper.com. It runs on gps, tells you how far you have gone, gives you an overview of your route when your done, tells you your pace, your mile time, and so on. In the end of it all it keeps a log so you can monitor your progression. Im really digging this!

The bad part about my stop was that there was a guy on a stetched old school suzuki 1100 drag bike( with a car back tire) riding in a white tank top, shorts, flip flops, and safety glasses. One of the few bike nights I went too, I was leaving and heading home. The cop proceeded to take my licenses, and be totally oblivious to the fact i do in fact have a motorcycle endorsement, but my licenses still said novice. Started in on how its almost dark and he better not see me get on the highway and on and on. I tried to explain it all to him, and he just simply had no idea of the motorcycle laws.
