The Grom is absolutely the favorite bike I've ever owned or rode.

Buddy has one, put on an Akra exhaust and a cam. He's had other supermotos and came into this KTM through a buddy. Next time he comes by the shop, I'll get an opinion. Actually, Todd, you may know him, he used to race OMRL. Jeff Root ring a bell?
No. Don't know him

I met a couple nice people online, but way more crazies...
One was married, using online dating to cheat on her husband, because he cheated on her. I passed.
On was living with and still dating her boyfriend, and she literally told me she was looking for an "upgrade." I asked her how long we would date before she needed another upgrade. She was beautiful, but a total train wreck.
One was still living with her ex, who would get drunk and beat her up. I got her tell her family what was going on. I decided against a second date though.
On a first date, I was told we could have sex that night, but only if I agreed we were dating exclusively. This was after she told me she couldn't handle rejection and cried
I've went out with several online ladies, all have been batshit crazy and most were some of the greatest sex ever. Probably from the batshit part but hey. I couldnt build a relationship from an online hook up but they are fun in the moment

Which is pretty much what the 790 looks like. And why I want the 790.
-
I've gather one saved in my search. As kinda a last resort. That's the color I'm interested in too
-
I got the Zuma as a pit bike too. Then figured out how much fun it is on the street that it spends more time as a street bike. You do need it

Leftover 2015
Yea I saw that. There's another dealer in MI that has leftovers for 6995 too. I'm holding out for a used 16 that's not still at msrp lol. They made a bunch of good changes to 16 and up but not many used 690s out there especially 16+.
Want to ride one first but either way it can't be worse than that FZ09 I had on our last ride right lol

No R for US market
With my limited knowledge about your taste for bikes and riding style, my guesstimate is you prolly won't like it. And the price seemed little bit too much for a bike with hardly any suspension adjustment and comes with set up for around 170lb
Yea it's a specific reason I'm looking at it. The 790 is what I really want but it's still going to be a while before available. It's between this and a Hyper but leaning more towards this since I only plan on keeping it till the 790 arrives.
Mainly for the Gap and county road hooliganism. The 450R is stupid fun but it's always on the rev limiter and isn't suited for Long all out runs. Have go thru it like every other ride the way I treat it. So the Duke and Hyper are the next closest. And the converted motos aren't passenger friendly
-
The 690 Duke is considered supermoto and has its own class in many supermoto series. As well one of the factory map settings on abs is supermoto mode.
The more you know.....
its just not a converted dirt bike supermoto. Which if you knew me you'd know that was already part of my stable.

If I hadnt just bought a Zuma this would be mine. Your timing sucks Rollo

At least get a R
Yes R is not for US market. However I'll be adding the track pack to it if I get one with includes most of what the R model comes with then just run it for a year or so till the 790 hits US soil.

Why not just buy something not European. Like a ninja 650, fz07 or an sv650
Because in the ninja 650 is absolutely nothing like a supermoto.
Same with FZ07
Same with SV650
European and Italian make better performance bikes in this category. Im not looking for my first beginner bike.

Hurtful lol.

Ok who has a 690 Duke? Preferably a 16 or 17 and more importantly how about you let me take it for a ride.
If you have had one any year, how did you like it and did you ride it in the manner that I usually do?
Im pretty sure I want one to hold me over till the 790 comes out but Id really like to ride one first. Anyone here looking to sell theirs?

I know many who love T6, tried it in several bikes and just never could get over how notchy the transmission become over the first thousand miles.
We are getting to a point where only motorcycle specific oils come without molly.
Never had an issue. I run T6 in every single thing I own. Mowers, Bikes, Generators, Cars, Trucks, Everything and have for years. Its rated for everything and beats buying 8 different oils to cover everything

I just found out that Rocky Mountain sells Yamaha oil for less than $19 a gallon. Less than T6.
Yes. But you're then limited on what it will go in. T6 goes in eveything

Sport bike tire service like OSU said. He'll ship to your door.

Circleville has no requirements to practice other than pay and sign the waiver. The requirements are only on race day and by the race org. You can show up in jeans and a tshirt and ride as long as you pay and sign.

Heeeeeeyyyyyy now. You remember what I brought out to play with one of your days there ........
BP is a big teaching item, thats why I just played on the Sumo instead of coach on it. Todd wouldn't let me coach on it only ride it. Thats why I only coached on the GSXR.
BP taught race style yes, your BP should match. Mid O is not a place for dirtbike style. You will most likely break your leg if something goes wrong.
Line, for gods sake stay on the line! Race line is also a teaching item, harder to do during novice follow the leader sessions when one guy isnt following and being off line makes you a hazzard and unpredictable.
Novice has changed a bit since your last time and the cut loose afternoon doesnt happen instead we go in the groups but kinda let the group go their pace the last 2 sessions and the coach kinda chases and jumps in front as needed.
My 450 topped at 100. Yea Id get ate up on the back straight but Id get it all right back in the turns.
Mark may make some changes this season too so could be different yet again but either way stay in the race line and hold your own no looking back, its the rider behind you that has the task of making a clean pass. If you keep looking back and getting of line you make that pass dangerous.
