I have a cold steel folder, I talked to a dealer about them a few moths ago and apparently their products have started to go down hill. I was originally going to go with the recon Scout. But after talking to him, they were dumping their CS stock, no longer ordering from them, and apparently the owner was thrown out of a national knife/shot show for a reason I don't recall anymore. Apparently they have also started outsourcing to Japan and China for the steel, in the last few years.....

Anyone have any thing good or bad to say about the: SOG Seal team Elite http://www.sportsmanscave.com/sog-knives-seal-team-elite-kydex-sheath.html?gclid=CJ67s_aevbMCFVBgMgodg34ATg or CRKT My Tighe assisted opening http://www.cabelas.com/tactical-knives-columbia-river-knife-tool-tighe-8482-knives-4.shtml?WT.tsrc=CSE&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=02476897&rid=40&mr:trackingCode=C3398CCA-958E-DF11-A0C8-002219318F67&mr:referralID=NA&mr:adType=pla&mr:ad=21046041071&mr:keyword=&mr:match=&mr:filter=22549717391

Your going from a bike with lots of power, torque , and handling to a bike that has none of those attributes. Don't get a me they are a good bike, but I feel you are going to be looking for more speed and better handling. If your buying to see if you like the handling that is one thing. But remember there are lots of "power" cruisers out there, that have much better handling, more torque, and more power. the unfortunate part is the "power cruisers are quite a bit more expensive. Like I said if your checking to see if you like the riding position, then cool. But don't base all cruisers off of this one. The power cruiser class would include VTX 1800s, Raiders, M109r, VROD, and the Meanstreak, The Meanstreak isn't made anymore, but there are always a few for sale on Craigslist. The meanstreak is also about the least powerful out of the group, even so I still love mine and it handles great. The rest of them are pretty common and can be found quite often. The Meanstreak is probably the cheapest of the group, followed by the VTX, the rest a kinda pricey. Just my 2 cents. If makes me laugh a bit when people buy an 800 or 1100 standard cruiser and complain cause it does handle like a sportbike. Well duh its not a sportbike. I have never been on a true sportbike, an SV 650 is as close as I have come. Good luck with you purchase/hunt, it looks like its in decent shape, and the price seems good.

I can get a 50" Sony Bravia for about 600 bucks. The 46" Toshiba I have had for 10+ years still looks pretty good though, so I am having difficulties pulling the trigger on the new one.

i will be up there but it will be a little later.

I bought the Sportiva brand off ebay. I have installed them on mine and a few friends bikes. They work well. I originally purchased the DDM tuning ones. htey took forever to get here as they shipped from China or Japan, and the one they sent me was a single light but the harness was very short and seemed to be the car harness. I sent it back for a refund and got the Sportivas. I have only had one issue with the Sportiva HID kit and that was it went out while riding, one of the guys I was riding with told me about it and I pulled over shut the bike off, restarted it and that fixed the issue. I guess the ballast freaked out for whatever reason. I used the Sylvania Silverstars before I switched to HIDs and they are a huge upgrade over stock. The HIDs will get the attention of everyone in front of you. They are not designed to be in a reflector housing, they are supposed to be in projectors, the reflectors allow the light to spread everywhere, as opposed to the projectors focusing it. I had a lady on the freeway get pissed at me because of the lights in her mirror, after I passed her she attempted to high beam me, which doesn't work on a bike, but it made her feel better apparently.

LOL you my friend need to do some research. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/ Disney is not really a weekend trip, It's at least a week due to all the stuff they have there, and the length of the lines. The wife wants to take the girls down, but I have been putting it off. It will probably happen next year.

I agree the 69 is what I wanted, had it been the '69 I probably would have bought it. But it's not so I didn't.

If anyone wants the owners cell phone number please PM me.
-
The car is in Westerville. I will call him and make sure it is ok to give out his cell phone number. I will post the pics I took yesterday. The convertible top looked to be in great condition on the outside, the inside was a little tore up. The interior was trashed, a family of squirrels lived in it and tore it up. I would venture to say the entire interior would need to be replaced, including the dash, seats, and floors. the floor boards flexed about an inch when pushing up from the bottom. The drive shaft was not attached. The driver side of the car was pretty beat up. The trunk was still locked, and he does not have the keys. the hinges on the drive side door were weak and the door had to be lifted to latch correctly. There is some rear end damage, and i would guess 75% of the body would have to be replaced. part of the passenger side may be reusable. The car is a brownish color inside and out. Give me a bit to get the pics off my phone and I will upload them.

Well no go on the car. It was in pretty bad shape. Pretty much a strip it to the frame, and start over car. Lots of rust and the floor boards were toast. Bee, yeah its a true 289....
-
I am going to look at a '68 Mustang Convertible with the 289 in it tonight. The car has been sitting for several years. Apparently some squirrels got in to the interior and tore it up, but the car has been in a garage the whole time. the current owner said the fan won't spin so he believes the motor will have to be pulled and worked on. I haven't seen it yet, I am heading out there tonight to take a look at it. If the car isn't in too bad of shape I may have a project car for the next few years.

I am in the process of switching banks now. Leaving Chase because of BS fees, moving to a credit union, which has much better interest rates on car loans. I have already transferred the majority of my bill pays and just waiting on my DD to be moved. My wifes DD has already been moved. It's been a pretty painless transition thus far. -
Border Patrol thought CRB looked pretty gullible. So they told him it was 15 bucks to get back in. They probably have his picture hanging in the booths which reads... "If you see this guy coming back into the country, congrats you win $15, collect it from the man pictured above." I have been to Mexico, but was never charged to get back into the US, but I was on flights, not crossing the border in a car, so I wasn't actually sure....

I amy try some "Canadian Beer" while I am there, I had Dos Equis in Mexico, several years before those stupid commercials started. They gave it to use free on the tour bus on the way to Chichen Itza. Thanks for the info fellas. I'm not leaving for a few more weeks, so if you think of anything else I should know about please let me know. Thanks again!
-
Ok, so I don't drink a lot, I was planning on just pinking up 2 cases of Bud light and taking it with me. 2 cases for a week for just me should be plenty. I know there is a tax or whatever for taking it across, but I have heard even with the tax its cheaper than buying beer there. As for drugs, what's the deal with prescription meds? I have a scrip I am getting this week. It's medication for cramping, non narcotic, not a pain reliever. Also I am planning on taking Zyrtec and some advil. Any issues there?

I decided I want to go fishing in Canada, some of my relatives go every year. They have some room in the cabins so I'm going to take them up on the offer to join them for a week. I've never been to Canada. I already have my Passport, so no issues there. I will be headin to Rideau Mac Resort. Its almost an 11 hour drive from here. So here is what I have been told so far: Have a passport. When stopped at the border declare everything (Duh) No fruits and vegetables should cross the border Buy beer here, really expensive in Canada. The speed limit in Canada is 55, also heard there really is no speed limit. Don't take your pistol (another duh) If you have a DUI/OMVI it's $200 to enter for 15 days and one time only (I don't have to worry about this) As for the fishing part... I have 18lbs braid with 20lbs mono leader I have a few 30lbs steel leaders, incase I decide to go after pike. I have some spinners, spoons, jig heads and a few other various lures. I have a hat, rain gear, sweatshirt and pants for the early morning trips I also have sunscreen and bug spray. So anyone have any other words of advice, or items I should have with me? Thanks all!
