  1. Capoeira is not easy to get good at, but when they do, they fuck shit up.

    Ruger revolvers?

I had a Super Redhawk. Damn it was a fuggin hand-cannon. Good shit, never had any trouble with it, although it wouldn't have been a practical home defense weapon in the city.
  3. No, for having rims and a body kit on a fucking Civic. These are normally the kids that do it.
  4. 1) Go to Meijer and get some 'Slingshot Ammo' (cheap ball bearings) 2) Put a few in an outer jacket pocket. 3) ???? 4) Profit!!!
  5. ...you mean you don't? And I think the reason it's not really offensive is that there really wasn't anything terribly negative in it. Recreational racism is OK when it's good-natured.
  6. Ended up with this '77 GS750 instead. Still fun, though.
  7. I'll compete for that one this year, except I would have trouble doing it in that much snow-- mine's a bit heavier than one of those fancy dirtbikes!
  8. LMAO, I didn't even realize we had an ignore function. My e-life's about to get a whole lot less retarded (clickclickclickclick).
  9. Like sloppy joes, but with pumpkin added. Pretty decent.
  10. Don't even bother with Todd, there's a reason I generally just ignore him. As evidenced by his intentional misuse of the upside-down flag (ie, (a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.), he's just a habitual troll. He provokes people for fun.
  11. Weird. My printer, card reader, scanner, dual monitors, and burner all work fine in Ubuntu, and the printer was the only thing I had to find a driver for (I googled the model and it came right up). I guess I'm just lucky.
  12. Absolutely correct. I'm ok, just whining. I will, however, expect my duly-deserved pity in a couple of months.
  13. Broad St => I270 => 23. Simplest route, since I always get lost on back roads and we didn't even head out till after 7.
  14. Anyone can be a reverend in this country. I'm a legally ordained minister, and an absolute hardline atheist. Go fig. Although, I certainly have little patience for these douchebag self-promoters who claim to speak for the black community. Sharpton certainly doesn't represent me, and I don't recall getting a vote. MLK didn't have to go around claiming to be a leader, he just was. If Sharpton ever did anything that actually benefitted black Americans, it was entirely coincidental, a by-product of serving himself. Of course, there's an easy way to recognize a real black leader-- they're the ones who always get assassinated. People who try to do genuine good by altering the status quo tend to get shot at eventually. Sharpton will never have to fear such a fate, because life for the useless is eternal. Sorry, the word Sharpton is like Pavlov's bell for me.

    bar shooting.

I'd really like to open a training center to teach gang-bangers to hit their intended targets. This 'spam ammo everywhere and hope I get lucky' nonsense is unimpressive, and leads to bystanders getting hit. I swear, I could have stood in the middle of these barfights, taking potshots with my bolt-action Mosin-Nagant, and probably hit more intended targets than any of these guys. And I'd have probably walked out unscathed, too (aside from the bruised shoulder-- Nagant invented the chiropractor business). I personally don't care if people wanna shoot each other, I just want them to do it efficiently so I don't get caught in the crossfire.
  16. Wife demanded pumpkin sandwiches, and I demanded a ride, therefore we rode to the pumpkin show. Not a bad time, aside from being under-layered.
  17. Well, I guess that would stop old people from voting their outdated views and stupid fear of the future into our laws. Medicare/ SS FTW! (Not really. Even though I hate the way old people tend to vote, I still support their rights to do so.)
  18. Lol, I wonder what distro you tried? Mine works fine. Hell, half the time, if I need a program I don't have for something, I can auto-download and install it from the synaptic package thingie.
  19. I've been using it for a good while now, so lemme know if you get any trouble. If you're not used to the way Linux does things, it can be a headache at first, but it's great once it's set up.
  20. A high-school diploma won't get you many of the decent jobs that are still unfilled. As a current Pell Grant recipient and a minority (I apparently didn't get a check for that), I can tell you they're not exactly enough to allow people to go back to school and 'retrain'. I'm bankrupting my entire family to do this, and it's only possible because we had savings (and my formerly good credit) to draw on. If we had started any lower on the totem pole, this wouldn't have been possible at all.
  21. “Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the men of old; seek what they sought.” ~Matsuo Basho And, of course, a bunch of FDR: A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned how to walk forward. Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. A nation does not have to be cruel to be tough. I ask you to judge me by the enemies I have made. I do not look upon these United States as a finished product. We are still in the making.
