http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1319033028.html Just saw this one. At a glance, the ad doesn't mention the title one way or the other, but you could always ask.

Damn, That's a good bike for a good price. Wish I could grab it, but hopefully someone else here can.
-
Hey, don't let anyone give you shit about your bike-- it's a fucking bike. I don't care what someone rides, as long as they ride. Incidentally, how much do those things go for? I'm still looking for a cheapass starter bike for my ole lady. I bet she could handle one of those.

This is kinda sick..i'd shoot the guys with the ropes after the zebras
Aerik replied to Gump's topic in Pics and Vids
I personally don't have a problem with people hunting for food; animals do it too, after all. I do, however, have a problem with unnecessarily cruel methods of hunting- using jeeps with ropes qualifies in my book. Now, if those guys with the spears were actually hunting for food with the weapons they had available, then I have a problem with the situation but can't fault them. If, on the other hand, some better options existed, then they're assholes. Still, though, that thing with the zebras clearly illustrates one of the reasons I don't like people. I can watch 'Faces of Death' while eating spaghetti (and actually did just that on a dare in high school) and be completely unfazed, but watching animals die in unnecessarily cruel ways bothers me quite a lot. -
What to do with the $500 raised at the meet & greet?

An escort? Oh, come on now-- all the girls on this forum, and all their friends, and none of them are interested in an actual nice guy? Girls! You have a chance to keep a nice guy nice! It's your duty as a favor to all other women! Hurry up and snag him before other girls ruin it and he turns into a cynical prick! Otherwise, I don't wanna hear any more women complain that they can't find nice guys. -
It sounds like fun (especially since my bike can actually turn now), but waaay too early for me on a Saturday. You ever decide to do this at like 5 pm, lemme know.
-
I dunno. He's a youngin still- a proper sister might break him.

If you really want the gun snobs to show up, I should be able to help bring them out: Goddamn I love my Mosin-Nagant! I can punch a fist-size hole in a man and set his clothes on fire from 50 yards away! Fuck all that over-engineered modern shite! You can't clean an AR-15 in the field by pissing down the bore! And it makes a shitty melee weapon! After I put all five rounds through my Nugget, I can still use my other arm to bayonet fuckers all day! Heh. If they don't show up after that, there aren't any gun snobs on OR.

Actually, a buddy of mine has a little Bersa .380 and he's never had any trouble with it. I've fired it a bit at the range, and it seemed like a fairly solid little piece. That said, I love my Glocknade 17.

(sigh) Georgia. Next they'll sue homeless people for property taxes. And yeah, that woman deserves the frowning of a lifetime.
-
The real keepers fry that fucker up with some eggs and hash browns and bring it to you in bed with some coffee on the side. Then again, maybe I just like food.
-
Yes. This. A thousand times, this.

My mom works in PAT and Same Day at MC East, and a good friend of mine is an RN at West. They both complain that the new(ish) CEO is making a teddy bear's picnic out of things, and it's not the most pleasant place to work lately. They've also been having layoffs here and there.

Lmao, thanks, Race Card (you know who you are)! Although, I didn't even go there until after the one guy called the crowd 'welfare-addled imbeciles', and even then I wasn't talking about the cops.
-
LMAO-- Whoever negative-repped me signed it "Sincerely, Freedom of Speech" while apparently trying to penalize me for exercising my freedom of speech. And no, I get that I'm holding a gun in my avatar pic-- people who know me understand that I'm not someone who jumps to the racial motive first. I just found the statement interesting. And anyone who paid attention knows that I wasn't calling for the officer's badge, or any such- I just thought (and still think) that it could have been handled better. No, I'm not a cop or an e-badass. Everyone is voicing their opinions based on their observation of the video and their own personal experience. Am I not allowed the same right? EDIT: On closer examination (actually clicking to see which post it was referring to), it looks like they negative-repped me for saying the old lady's daughter was a stupid ass for leaving an Alzheimer's patient alone in the car. I'll go ahead and stand by that statement. She was indeed a stupid ass.
-
It's not quite accurate to say that it'd be the same situation if an older female cop took down a young white female with a knife-- a young woman is a much bigger threat than an Alzheimer's patient in her 80's. And telling me to walk around with a knife is similarly inaccurate: I'm 26, 6'2'' and 215 lbs. I would be a very real threat, and would probably be shot, or at least Tazed. And I don't think anyone here is saying the officer was looking to rough up an old lady. I just happen to think that the threat was not immediate enough to warrant that level of force that quickly. Incidentally, I like how all the bystanders were 'welfare-addled imbeciles'. Would you have said the same thing if it had been a white crowd?
-
From everything I've read since my last post, it sounds like she was an Alzheimer's case-- if we were talking about a healthy person in their 30's, sure, you'd be pretty much right. In this case, I think there was probably some better way to disarm her. And her daughter earns some stupidass points for leaving her alone in the car.
-
I'm inclined to think this could have been handled better. Without more information, it's hard to know-- did she have dementia? Had she threatened anyone ealier? She looked kind of lost, wandering around with the knife. The people standing around didn't look particularly scared. I would say that they treated her like a much bigger threat than she probably was. But, like I said, without more backstory it's hard to make a real judgment in this kind of situation. And it was Whitehall. /facepalm

Lol, I lived on Gemstar (just off tussing) about 5 years ago-- I once accidentally left my explorer unlocked, with about $1300 worth of woofers, component mids n tweeters, etc, and everything stayed put. Either I'm just lucky or I terrify my neighbors. I'm in a three-bedroom, so the two-car garage is big enough for my pool table, cocktail tables, gutted piano stereo rack and (currently) two bikes, with room to spare. You must have had one of the two-bedroom places, those garages are a bit smaller (my mom actually had one for a while right after her divorce-- now she lives down off of Taylor near you, PrincessPratt). As far as the flats here, a buddy of mine works maintenance, and he says the 1-bedrooms are between $515 and $540. They have several 2-bedroom models for a bit more, and the garages are (I think) like 40-50 bucks added to the rent. If you move here, though, you gotta give 'em my name so I get a little off rent for the month. Referral bonuses are win! Incidentally, I'll second the issues with Gahanna PD. I get along fine with real city cops, but some of the outlying towns have problems. But I have a knack for getting pulled over while sitting at stop signs.

Yay! Another one for our side! Here's your nametag; punch and pie are over there, in the corner.

Glad he was able to get you fixed up. Now come up to one of the bike nights and say hi. It's always good to have some people to ride with, especially if you're still a fairly new rider. And nice job with the quick save, ninjaScott. Good stuff.
-
If you're just wanting to grab it when you're in town next, you can just hand me the money when I hand you the game-- no big deal, I won't sell it out from under you. I'm always out and about, just PM me if you head through town before the next meet n greet.

Yep, 361 Hither Creek here. Not a bad place. Of course, my standard by judging a place is a) a bigass garage and b) a flat wall at least 11 feet wide for my TV. I'm pretty easy to keep happy. But, I do know most of my neighbors (or, at least, they ALL know me-- I'm 'that crazy bald dude with all the guns'). And like I said, it's CPD here, maybe it wasn't when you lived here.
