  1. The sort of person who will do handbrake powerslides in their car probably does other stunting too. Stunting leads inexorably to busted crap. I tracked my car a couple of times. never hit anything or went off track (at least not with all 4 wheels ) but I wore through half the life of my tires in two days. Driving fast around a track is not unexpected in a Legacy GT, but I still had to budget for new tires.
  2. Well, honestly, I would assume that "wearing...earplugs" would mean both ears. Unless you put two earplugs in one ear.
  3. What? So you have to choose between a ticket versus hearing damage.
  4. I think if you are going to e-brake slide ANY car you should budget for repairs.
  5. For your edification: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Sandusky#Child_sexual_abuse_charges Jerry Sandusky is the accused kiddie-fiddler. Joe Paterno was the long-time coach of Penn State football who was one link in a chain of reporting that started with a direct witness to one of the alleged crimes, went through Paterno and up through the university management - but not to police. Everyone in that chain of reporting is accused of failing to report the incident to police. You have to be careful, when blindly issuing condemnations of child sex offenders, that you know who you are talking about. Joe Paterno is very different from Bobby Petrino. And it's more than 1 letter difference.
  6. Only one will get you about a year in jail for public indecency?
  7. Another one... When the car in front of you is turning into a small sidestreet on the right and there is another car waiting to emerge from that same sidestreet... There will be about 5-10 seconds where you are pretty much invisible to the car in the sidestreet. If you are lucky they will see you over the car in front of you - or they will see you through the car. Maybe they won't see you. Either way, be ready to stop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JiXkSGHlHI
  8. Meh. Anyone can find pretty girls and ugly women from any country. British Formula 3 Umbrella Girls Grapesmuggler's mom:
  9. American standards. British standards require girls not be obese.
  10. And that wet bitches always leave?
  11. How about pulling into a parking space next to a convertible full of cute girls, and being so distracted you forget to put the kickstand down...
  12. For full auto stuff i thought. May-issue, restrictive.

    thank you OR...

My phone uses almost nothing. I only surf on my phone if I'm stuck in a waiting room or "taking the browns yo the superbowl." My home internet connection burns up 40Gb/mo. Nobody has 40GB 4g plans so I am stuck with a 2Mb wireless data trhough a local isp (no dsl or cable modem) If I went with the verizon 10Gb 4G plan I'd be paying $400/mo after overage charges.
  14. When I bought my 2005 Legacy it was in 2008 and I had to choose between it (18.5k), a 2004 G35 (Auto, $20k) and a 2007 G35 (2-door manual, $27k) I wanted AWD and stick, but the G35x/G37x doesn't come in stick. I HATE autos with a passion, so I went with the Legacy. Right after I bought it they took it back for a day to complete some final repairs per the sales contract - and they gave me a brand new G35x as a loaner for the day. And I didn't like it. The acceleration lurched and the brakes were too grabby. After a couple miles my passengers were feeling sick. If they made a 4-door G37x in stick and fixed the grabby brakes then I'd be interested. The Legacy GT is rumored to be going away - plus the 2010-model is really not sitting well with fans of the 2005-2009 style. I think I have to look after this car for a while because I may not be able to replace it.
  15. How dare you mock my jockstrap-o'death. Seriously, though, I'm IWB 99% of the time. The 50-caliber-codpiece is for situations where an IWB would print too much.
  16. Go away - We don't like British people here. Just a piss-take. Reformed Yorkshireman at your service. In Cali you don't get CCW do you? It's a May-issue state. As in Hell-may-freeze-over... Get a caliber you can practice with, a lot. And do so. Don't put 50 rounds through it and then think you can pick off bad guys like Bond when the SHTF 10 years later. I'm rockin' a Bersa 380 (PPK clone) as my EDC and it works for me.
  17. That wasn't Aliens. That was frat boys with roofies.
  18. Never heard a turbo H6 so I dunno. Still a boxer. Twin-turbo would fix the unequal-length header problem.
  19. I'm thinking it could be a reflection of something happening inside the plane. Maybe a pinpoint reflection from the belt buckle or namebedge of someone walking towards the front of the plane.
  20. BRZ needs to be H6 Turbo AWD 6spd.
  21. This looks like the UK. When the train wheel takes your shoe off but leaves your foot intact... You know that God just gave you a Mulligan.
  22. I have the Legacy GT Limited which is an accord-sized car with the WRX drivetrain. There are faster cars out there (not many on the road, though) but the combination of size, handling, AWD and turbo is so much fun in every traction condition that I won't sell it. Not happening. It has a mild tune (Infamous Performance) and is good for 60 in 5.2 seconds. Easy on the eye, too, I think:
