  1. Make your mind up! Seems to me that the FCC is using its budget to make changes that everyone agrees on. Hardly seems like a waste to me. Or are you saying we should de-fund the FCC? It was explained to me that commercials are not louder than TV shows... What happens is that TV shows use volume for dramatic effect and tend to average around half-volume so that when they need to be loud there is still some room to get louder. Commercials are just loud all the time - no need for subtlety. But they are no louder than the TV should *could* be if it wanted to be. Loud commercials work against the advertisers as far as I'm concerned. If a commercial is annoyingly loud then I hit mute and go make a drink.
  2. Wait for it to show up first - says it will take a couple of days.
  3. "He's just more grounded. Much more down-to earth."
  4. Sorry - ice is a deal-breaker. Ysterday I was slipping all over the place on the morning commute - patches of ice everywhere. I can dow 30f dry, but ice makes me poop myself.
  5. "This is the weirdest cyclic I ever saw. And where's my collective?"
  6. Submitted to UrbanDictionary.com: Let's see if they approve it.
  7. "Man, my wife said she's give me a blow job if I filled the dishwasher. When I went to collect she woodbury'd me by telling me I had to clean the kitchen and take the trash out as well."
  8. My wife and I are getting new pistols in the next couple of months. Woodbury is off my list of stores to buy from.
  9. Well, I guess he also put a timeline on the HK - "they also put night sights on the HK". So, who does the HK have night sights May 5th 2011?
  10. Agreed. The exif data agrees with the datestamp in the filename for "his" AR pic. Didn't look at the HK The AR had a stated timeline (after christmas) that could be verified.
  11. Extra mags on that mofo must be the size of filing cabinets.
  12. Not really, we're just faster a pwnage than you are.
  13. SakeBurner... You "just got back" from woodbury with that AR...? Then why does the filename for the AR pic have a datestamp of 2011-11-19 11:40:56? So your wife bought you this AR for christmas, right? And you JUST got the ACOG. Right? But this pic was take 36 days before christmas - with the ACOG you bought AFTER christmas? If you are going to go around stealing pics then PLEASE do a better job of it. Challenge. I just bought an AR on saturday. Here is my proof... If you post picture of YOUR AR in that is just like this (on the floor, with a hat and a hand-writted note dated today that references OR) then I will apologize for doubting you. OTHERWISE you are a lying sack of crap adding dishonesty on top of dishonesty and dragging Woodbury deeper into the quagmire. Ball's in your court. I'll wait.
  14. Sure. And businesses would be fine if they dealt with their customers fairly and not choose money over morals. Then, well, that's like flopping your marriage tackle into the pitbull's mouth and then flicking his love spuds with a towel. (ask me how I know)
  15. Wait, THAT response came from a guy called Scruit... WHAT HAVE I STARTED? I hear Woodbury's is under new ownership? It's now being run by a guy called Randy McFudgethumper. True story.
  16. Even funnier coming from a guy call Pokey...
  17. So why ARE you using a pic of someone else's bike? I guess dishonesty runs in the family.
  18. To anyone who doesn't get why this is bad business... Remember the scenes when the PS3 came out? People waited months. Some pre-ordered, some didn't. Lines and lines of people waiting. People lucky enough to have bought one were selling them on ebay for 2x and 3x what they paid. Finite initial supply with more coming at some point in the future. Sound famlilar? The difference is that Best Buy didn't go out to the crowd just before they opened and say; "If you want one, we're now charging 3x MSRP." Good for profit, sure. But bad for business.
  19. I've done that - and usually get nasty stares in return. Every now and then they understand. 120 seconds is not long. I pass through at least two lights than have a 3 minute green for the large road (Route 23) I did sit for what seemed like an eternity at 23 and hyatts. Nobody else on Hyatts. Heavy enough traffic on 23 that I had no opportunity to run the red, even to turn right. After forever a car came up behind me and I waved her forward onto the sensor loop. She pulled forward and the light started to cycle immediately. Looked back at the dashcam - I was there 9 minutes!!
  20. Getting your CHL is easy if you qualify. 12 hour course, background check etc are the main requirements. Start here: http://ohioccwforums.org/
  21. I can't get over how hot the place was. My wife was planning to be there with me but bailed at the last minute - good thing too. The heat and crowd density would have made her flip out. I guarantee they exceeded the maximum occupancy of that space. Walking from one end of the room to the other took several minutes due to the tables being so close together - if two guys were stopped looking at guns on tables either side of a "corridor" then you had to go single-file (if there were skinny) or brush past them. There was heavy 2-way traffic between tables so even one person stopping to look at a gun on a table caused a traffic jam. If there was an evacuation it would have been a disaster. Oh, and I parked out front on the broad street side and entered the mall through the north entrance. After buying my AR they pointed out I had to exit through the south doors, not go back into the main body of the mall. Ok, fair enough - but now I'm standing about a 1/2mile walk from my car holding an unloaded AR and I'm NOT ccw (due to the no-loaded-guns rule) so anyone who knows the no-ccw rule can just come up to me and mug me for the AR and I have no way to defend against it. Not like I could load up the AR right there and then. That was a long scary walk back around the west side of the Sears to get back to my car.
