I'll never forget that day ever. It was the year they opened Jacobs Field and my neighbors company had a suite so we were up in the suite watching the game on the balcony part. Then on the TV they had the OJ slow speed chase on and during this the old dessert cart came rolling by so 9 year old BAD was smashing some chocolate cake watching baseball one minute then some jack ass doing 35mph on the highway in a Bronco
damn you Nivin
but damn do I miss the days of being single, not having to pay for a cell phone, the truck it's gas or insurance, and rent being only $600/month with minimal utility bills and no yard to maintain
Since it's through my wifes work they only required her to do it. This year they now added in anyone over the age of 18 insured on the plan. Soo although we still get the discount seeing the words in writing along with raising the concern of some other genetic issues I'm at risk for due to my current status sure helped light a fire under my ass
Our insurance started an annual health assessment for discounts and got the results back the day we got home from vacation. Although I knew this to be the case, it didn't hit home until I saw the words "grossly overweight" in writing and some other issues that could be cropping up because of it.
So it's time to not just diet but commit to a bit of a lifestyle modification to get long term results. I know I'll fail if I try to do too much at once so it's baby steps for right now.
@Tonik seriously get this. If I hadn't sunk all my money in to the Firehawk even I couldn't say no to picking this up even if it sat in the garage more than I would have liked
Agreed because it's a long shot. My Dad brought up wanting us to come to his sugar momma's place in Knoxville for a long weekend so I can show him around the Smokies while the women do their women thing.
He's only ever ridden to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge from there and wants to hit the good roads he's heard me talk about. The biggest issue is either I'd have to rent a good bike or do it on a Street Glide but I tossed out the idea of trying to be down there the same weekend as the trip even though it falls on the girls bday weekend and I know the wife will poo poo it
I hated the VFR1200 when it came out but then I got to test ride one and my tune quickly changed. Not quite enough to switch up from my perfectly modded '06 800 but enough that if I get back in to the 2 wheel game and can get one cheap it'd be at the top of my list.
Everyone has always said the VFR's are ugly but I think those people are a horrible judge of looks
