I got an email saying that they were shutting down our Auburn Hills, MI facitility and the one in Bowling Green where I work. Basically a free paid day off for salaried employees but of course when that happens I'm working in Germany where it is fine while everyone else gets to sit their ass at home today.

Too much control is a bad thing and that is where Apple is at. Once I buy something I want to be able to have access to it since I paid for that product but Apple will do just about whatever they can to prevent the end user from doing anything that they don't want you to do. I do own an Ipod but that is just due to it being able to dock with so many other devices that I have. What if you bought a Samsung tv and you could only hook up devices that Samsung approved or made, that would be Apple if they made tvs.

You will still get the phone at a subsidized price, just won't get any discountoff that price. Too many people were upgrading early and this is what came of it. You will be able to get a phone for the subsidized price your contract expires but if you don't last two years, that's a lot of money for a Damn phone.
