The current federal mandate will be pushing the corporate fuel average to something like 54 miles per gallon by 2024. Jeez right now a lot of bikes dont do that well. So its kinda of a force on industry to develop better ICE for fuel economy and then they get a incentive credit for producing electric vehicles.

Hey N&V cool project you got going. A tip for you for some ideas/help, see if you can hook up with a guy that goes by "frodus" in motorcycle threads. He has done several conversions and worked with electric bike racing at the Isle of Mann. I have lost track of him, but he eats and sleeps electric vehicles. - First if your workplace has a 401k plan - work to max it out all you can first. - With a regular IRA, you are allowed to deduct the contribution from you gross income, thus saving some on taxes, $5000 up to 50 years old and $6000 over 50. Also there is a forced withdrawl or distribution at 70 1/2. And there is a major tax hit in case of an early withdrawl. - With a Roth IRA, you can again contribute up to $5K but the money cant be deducted off gross income at tax time. The benifit is that any gains are not taxed ever, and there is no requirement to take out any distributions. Also after 5 years of owning the account - you can take out your base (your original money that you put in, - there might be an over 50 years old requirement on that. gotta check) - If you can stand getting by without the upfront tax deduction, the Roth is the better vehicle over the long haul. I'm sure other "gurus" will kick in........

It's too big a coincidence that both sites had failures. It has to be something in common like an engineering eff up, bad materials or name it. I'm sure OHSA is gonna have a hay day with it.

Actually my last one was an '88 accord that I bought with 89k on it and ran it to 206K. Sold it for $900 and bumped into my '90 at 86K for $2000. I'm gonna keep going for old low miles Accords - cheap, reliable, and more money for motorcycles.

267K miles? It's an insperation for my '90 Accord with 119K on it.
