  4. Did I mention test riders get a free Yamaha T? (while supplies last)
  5. Getting ready for you guys. Mike from Yamaha is down on his hands & knees polishing up the wheel of the SCL for tomorrow.
  6. Fri 11-7 Sat 10-5 I rode our rental Tenere about 100 miles yesterday. I can tell you it was the best motorcycle I have ever ridden. If you like, or can get over, the industrial looks, it is probably the best all around bike you can buy IMHO. I thought I would like it, but I was blown away.
  7. Yamaha / Star Pony Powersports demo unit list. R1 R6 FZ8 FZ6R FJR Super Tenere V-Max Stratoliner Deluxe V-Star 1300 Deluxe Stryker Raider SCL Bolt Bolt R-Spec
  8. I plan for them to use the same route, but they will be Yamaha guys leading the way. (unlike the Victory rides lead by Iron Pony employees) They might have other ideas of what they want to do but I am going to strongly suggest they use our route. I think it is a good combo of freeway/city/straights/curves/hills. I am still trying to nail down EXACTLY what bikes they will have. The inventory on the truck is always changing and evolving. I know for certain they will have the two new "Bolt" models, a Super Tenere, FJR1300 and most of the Star line. Keeping my fingers crossed for the entire sportbike lineup and a V-Max. I will post the complete demo inventory ASAP.
  9. Come out this Friday 11A-7P & Saturday 10A-5P and test ride a new 2013 Yamaha or Star. This is the first time Pony Powersports has hosted a Yamaha demo ride.
  10. Thanks Tonik.....I'm 5 11, perhaps my width makes me look shorter than I really am. We have a great time doing these and were glad you enjoyed yourself. These demos really are a fantastic way to evaluate a bike. Thanks for coming out. Scott
  11. I understand guys, I wish it were on the weekend too. Scheduling a truck full of motorcycles to travel around the country is no small feat for Victory. I'm glad Victory has a demo truck, not all motorcycle manufacturers do. We do everything we can to get the truck here when it is in our part of the country. In the past it has always been on a weekend, but this was the only option this spring.

  13. Locally owned and operated Iron Pony Motorsports Group launches Iron Pony Riding Academy – A motorcycle riding school focused on teaching the fundamentals and dynamics of safe motorcycle operation. Iron Pony Motorsports Group has an exciting new division designed to train motorcyclists. The Iron Pony Riding Academy can simply be described as a motorcycle riding school. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation based curriculum was developed for people with little or no motorcycle riding experience. Students will spend time in the classroom and riding motorcycles while they develop skills and gain an understanding of the dynamics of safely operating a motorcycle. Iron Pony Riding Academy’s instructors are professionally trained and certified by the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Motorcycle Ohio Division and the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Students will train in a safe, controlled environment, free from the dangers of traffic while learning the basic skills and techniques needed for a lifelong enjoyment of motorcycling. Cory Atwood, CFO of the Iron Pony Motorsports Group, said “Riding motorcycles can seem quite intimidating at first, but once you develop an understanding of how the motorcycle’s controls work and spend time cultivating proper riding techniques, it becomes second nature- the key is developing a foundation of proper techniques.” Iron Pony Riding Academy offers weekly classes during peak riding season. The 16 hour curriculum starts with four hours in the classroom, followed by twelve hours of on-the-bike training. The *cost of the course includes all class materials, and the use of a current model training motorcycle and helmet. Proper *attire and a Motorcycle Learners Permit is required. Upon successful completion students receive a waiver which they present to the BMV to obtain their motorcycle endorsement. Earning this waiver allows you to *forego the BMV skills test. (Minimum age required) *Check IP-RA.com for details. About Iron Pony Motorsports Inc. 14. Pony Powersports has the truck on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Check out the new 2013s. Take a test ride & get a free Victory T. (while supplies last)
  15. Come hang out, ride a new Victory, talk to the people from the factory. Free Victory T shirt for those that take a test ride. (While supplies last) Bring your M endorsement & long pants. I'll be taking riders on a 15 mile loop. Plan to hang out for a while and you'll probably have a chance to ride several different models. It will be lots of fun.
  16. The add on charger "pig-tails" are easy to use and make keeping you bike on a charger super simple. Most (but not all) use the same connector. We add a charger pig-tail to every new or used bike that Pony Powersports sells. It is just one of those little details that seem small, but is worth the effort to install once and ALWAYS have.
